Why they're blind in one eye ;; Sadly even in world inhabited by animals there is place for cruelty and abuse - especially between natural enemies like rodents and felines. Hena was kidnapped by some feline scientists looking for "test subjects" to experiment on; naturally healthy and sporty, he was unlucky to fit their "criteria". They underestimated him, however, and though loosing his eye in the process, Hena eventually managed to escape his captors. What those experiments were, no one knows, because Hena doesnt share that part of his biography with anyone. "The past has passed," he says when asked about it.

Why they're blind in one eye ;; A car accident.
Not fatal, thank goodness, but due to the impact it did make him go blind in one eye. Luckily, he never lost his eye, but prefers to keep it covered up with an eyepatch or bandanna or such to stop people from staring. Granted, they stare at his covered eye anyway. He doesn't let it get him down though; he can still see out of one eye, and that's the main thing. He can still see the beauty of the world.
