User ;; fab.
Name ;; Christopher (Chrissie, Chris)
Gender ;;agender (they/them)
Why does he like cooking? ;; Cooking is one of the only talents that Chris doesn't find challenging anymore. And one of the things they can be internally proud about. Cooking also brings some sort of joy to their life, as they're happy they can still provide for themselves - Chris hates relying on others so much, and utterly despises when others ask to help them cook because of their amputated arm. Not only that, but Chris aspires to be a famous chef, recognised for overcoming great difficulty to become one of the best. However, their family always seems to put them down about the idea, which only makes them strive to accomplish it even more.
How did he lose his arm? ;; At a young age, Chris was hit by a car whilst playing with a ball on the road. The speeder was unidentified, but they're arm was damaged so badly that they ended up in hospital for months and months on end, they couldn't use their arm, so it was amputated, much to Chris's protests. Chris grew bored of the hospital, and staying in the hospital for so long has had long term effects on them - they seem to be scared of hospitals now, and whenever they're around them, they will shuffle awkwardly and try and leave. The car crash also made them scared of roads and loud noises - so as you can imagine, Chris is very jumpy and skittish - more so than they were before the crash. Due to loosing an arm, they couldn't get on with life as quickly as they wanted, and had to rely on their parents and close family + friends for help. However, they're friends withdrew themselves and they're family quickly stopped supporting them once they learned how to cook well. The dependency on others really weighed him down, Chris really wants to be independent now, because of this.
How does he deal with his loss? ;;Chris has accepted that they'll never get the money to get a prosthetic limb, and they've learned to live with their disability, however - that doesn't mean that they are happy about it, at all. Sometimes they look forlorn as they gaze at their missing limb, sometimes they feel their amputated arm move as it used to in their sleep, and wake up and find it isn't there. Chris cries often and has become more withdrawn from making friends. If they go out into public, they try to cover their arm, but often it doesn't work out, and they still get looks from passerby's. This has caused Chris to become extremely anxious and jumpy around large crowds.
