Why they like the beach:
Casper lives to paint! He absolutely loves it! And the beaches near his house is the perfect scenery for him to set up his canvas and set to work. It's a mostly empty beach, as it is partially wild and not what you'd call a tourist attraction. As he prefers to work alone and undisturbed, this is a major bonus. Normal, crowd filled beaches of some tropical areas annoying him.

Why they like/dislike the beach:

For Merc, the reason he loves the beach is the feeling it leaves you with. The smell of salt, they spray of the waves on your face, the sun on your back, the cool ocean water rushing around your toes. The beach leaves you with that feeling of freedom, that feeling of being a part of something bigger. Sure, sometimes it can be intimidating. But sometimes, staring at that far away ocean horizon does wonders for the soul. And then, there's the thrill of being in the ocean. The thrill of standing face first, watchin as a wave crests a few feet away from your head. There's the thrill of diving, of searching for shells or crabs. There's the adrenaline rush of bodysurfing, from skimboarding, from boogeyboarding, from surfing. Then there are the simple things, the things that bring life back down to normal. The sand in your toes, or how it cakes your feet after being in the ocean. The simplicity of sitting on the beach and watching the sun set, and of listening to the roaring waves.

These are the reasons Mercury loves the beach.

Why they like/dislike the beach: Little Dinari here loves the peacefulness of the sea, the calm crashing of the waves against the shore and the sunsets at night. He often stays out after the sun sets to see any glowing fish in the waters since they inhabit where he lives, or to walk the beach and collect the unique shells at low tide. Dinari enjoys his alone time especially in silence with the unique sounds of nature.

Why they like/dislike the beach: Dylan really enjoys the ocean. She loves going at night, when the moon and stars are the only source of light. It's really peaceful and gives her a sense of calming if she can't fall asleep. Don't take her for being a really calm and conserved Kalon, though, because in the daytime, Dylan is the total opposite! Surfing, boogie boarding, sandcastle building- She will challenge you, and she will make sure she wins.

Sketch loves to go to the beach! Especially at night, as
the waves and the sounds calm her after a stressful day. She also loves
to snorkel and look at all the sea-life, and to protect the reef, she only
collects dead coral and shells that have been left from crabs. She never
messes with or chases after fish, and she loves to volunteer at the beach.

Why they like/dislike the beach: Moana loves the ocean, but could definitely live without the sand. She hates the feeling of sand stuck between her paw pads, it gives her the same feeling as nails on a chalkboard. Even in the water, Moana will tread water so she doesn't have to keep her feet on the sandy ocean floor for too long. Another favorite part about the water is looking at all of the beautiful fish swim by--her personal favorite is the Wedge Trigger fish (mostly because of its Hawiian name, "humuhumu nukunuku apua'a".
