What are keetins?

    To be read in a David Attenborough voice.
    Keetins are small, agile mouse creatures that live within the trees of any forested climate in the world, and are closely related to the Twiglet species. They can't run very fast or fly, but they are terrific at leaping and climbing, despite their short limbs. These little guys tend to be tamed as companions and will often be seen riding their handler's shoulder, pockets or hiding in their hair. Keetins will never grow any larger than a squirrel, baby Keetins (called Kits) can be as small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. A Keetin's diet consists of their favourite food, Strawberries! However they are also seen eating other fruits and sometimes cakes.
    A group of Keetins is called a Keetai (pronounced key-tie). They communicate through a series of small pips and mews.
    When happy, a Keetin will release a scent from a gland inside it's ear, making it smell beautifully like strawberries.

Meaning: This wasn't too creative, unsurprisingly, but her name is literally Strawberry Sweetheart in Japanese. The name fit her very well (Plus I love the name Ichigo), so I figured this would work well c:

Why is This Her Prized Possession: Ichigo was always one for imaginary friends. She loved to "hang out" with them, and believed for the longest time that they were real, until one day the news was broken to her. They were simply plushes. They had no heart, no soul, and didn't have a way of feeling friendship. By the time she was told this, she had become a fairly logical thinker, and this basically brought to her attention that she had no friends. That crushed her. Eventually, she grew out of this depressed state, but she had gotten rid of all of her plushes. All, but one. The only one she kept, her favorite, was an Arctic fox plush. It was small, and quite frankly very cute, and it comforted her whenever she needed it. Ichigo was never without her little friend, but some few months later, he went missing. Ichigo went berserk looking for him, but to no avail. This had her in tears for weeks...

But, on a fateful Valentine's Day evening, there was a quiet thump on her door. Curious, she opened it, and immediately had one of the most emotional breakdowns you had ever seen. There, on her doorstep, was the little white fox that had guided and guarded her for so long, but this time he was different. With a playful yip, the Arctic canine plushie leapt onto Ichigo's head, startling her, but by no means frightening her. All those years, she has believed that her toys were just that - toys. No heart, no soul, no way to feel, but at that very moment, she had proven everyone wrong. Her best friend had just come back to her, alive, wriggling, and as happy as he ever was, and Ichigo herself couldn't have been in a better mood. From then on, the twosome, plush and Keetin pair, were always together and never apart. c: (Very loosely based on this story - The Velveteen Rabbit

Prized Possession: a silver locket given to her by her lover
Cadence's father is cruel and doesn't want Cadence to marry anyone she picks, so he locks her up in her room on the 5th floor of their mansion. Romeo, who is poor, hears of hear beauty and her beautiful singing voice falls in love with her, so he woos her in secret by learning how to shoot with a bow and arrow (to show her that her can protect her from harm and is a symbol of strength and dexterity in this land) and shoots love letters, and poems to her into the tree by her window. Then one day he shoots a letter with a present then a few minutes later, Cadence jumps out of the window with a beautiful locket on, smiling, and holding the letter and Romeo catches her. He asks her why she jumps and she tells him that she doesn't care what her father says or does and she wants to be with her love, Romeo and she knew that he would catch her, then she kisses him and let's the letter go and says yes, of course I'll marry you.
The letter was Romeo's proposal and the gift was the locket. And they ran away and lived happily ever after
Personality: Cadence is very sweet and loving, but can for a noble, she's fearless, impulsive, rebellious, and fun loving! She might be a pretty noble lady, but she's not afraid to get dirty and say what's on her mind, just like her mother. Romeo, the calmer of the two is the one who gets her out of trouble and scolds her (Which she hates and she always gives him a pouty face which melts his heart). Although Cadence is a little abrasive and feisty, she's also friendly and has made friends with most of the people in the village
Talents: painting abstract because shes too impatient for realism, piano and violin as forced to learn to impress the other nobles, sewing, crocheting, and singing beautifully. Romeo has tried to teach her how to use his bow and arrow, but she almost hit Romeo and then she was too scared to use it again
