What are keetins?

To be read in a David Attenborough voice.
Keetins are small, agile mouse creatures that live within the trees of any forested climate in the world, and are closely related to the Twiglet species. They can't run very fast or fly, but they are terrific at leaping and climbing, despite their short limbs. These little guys tend to be tamed as companions and will often be seen riding their handler's shoulder, pockets or hiding in their hair. Keetins will never grow any larger than a squirrel, baby Keetins (called Kits) can be as small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. A Keetin's diet consists of their favourite food, Strawberries! However they are also seen eating other fruits and sometimes cakes.
A group of Keetins is called a Keetai (pronounced key-tie). They communicate through a series of small pips and mews.
When happy, a Keetin will release a scent from a gland inside it's ear, making it smell beautifully like strawberries.

Personality:
Peppercorn, besides being insecure about his (Adorable) name, is very bold. He struts around like some sort of King, and is very childish. His nickname is Pepper, but because of his behavior, he has earned himself the second nickname of Ghost Pepper (You know, that incredibly spicy pepper that makes people cry?) He isn't sporty, but loves to hover lightly over the ground with his tiny wings, trying to impress other Keetins. He is very charming, and is one of those guys that just does what he, well, does, and ends up with fifty admirers ten minutes later because of how likable he is. He doesn't pay much attention to his followers though <3 Peppercorn is also easily frightened! To name just a small chunk of what horrifies him: Anything that sounds like a scream, heights, tough looking people, anything bigger than he is, spiders, bugs in general, loud sounds, etc. But, his biggest fear of all time is... Butterflies. Yes, Pepper is terrified of butterflies. Others who know him really have no explanation for this fear, and nobody really tries to stop him because, frankly, when he is scared, it's quite cute to watch X)

His Home:
Peppercorn lives wherever, honestly. As long as it's fairly bright, he takes his shed fur, and builds a floofy nest for himself, where he sleeps eats, and essentially lives. The nest is usually in a closed off space, and if there are none available, he digs a hole for it himself. Peppercorn's big pet peeves are mostly about warmth and drafts, though. If Pepper isn't completely cozy, he won't stop until he is 100% warm. Comfort a pretty big priority for this fuzzball.

Why the archery set?:
Pepper's archery set was a gift to him when he was very, very young. Why was it given to him? Well, his parents gave it to him on his birthday with this note attached:

Ever since then, he's carried it everywhere! It's his signature item, and seeing Pepper without his archery set is like seeing a six fingered person! Not impossible, but incredibly rare. Anyway, Peppercorn's parents went missing a little after he was 3 years old, where he was taken in to be raised by the wild animal care professionals. Now, he is up for adoption here, but he still carries his archery set (And the note from his missing parents) with him everywhere he goes. It provides comfort for the lonely fella, especially when he sleeps...

Why the archery set?: When Artemis was very young, her father wanted to teach her to be skilled in archery. Her father died on a hunting trip after getting into a fight with a wild animal. Artemis was devastated! So, she decided to do everything in her power to become a good huntress and make her father proud, because she knows he is smiling down at her from the stars. Artemis has become a very good huntress and is very capable of taking care of herself!
