[Kosciusko]

Kleeare (klee-are) are a species of nocturnal equine found on the island of Nocte. Most of the predators on the island are diurnal, hunting during the day and sleeping at night. In order to avoid the predators, Kleeare have evolved to do just the opposite, sleep during the day and be active at night. Due to this, Kleeare have whiskers and large ears to help them navigate in the dark. Though their most notable feature is their bioluminescent spots, made of bioluminescent cells and hollow, pigmentless hairs. They use these spots for communication, similar to a firefly.

Grandeur is a laid back, quiet type of guy. he is friendly but not likely to take the lead in conversations, or be the one to speak first when he first meets a new Kleeare. While he is quiet at first after getting to know you he can be a really fun guy and you may be surprised at the pranks and mischief he can get up to. His view on friends goes something along the lines of 'Better to have no friends or a few very good friend than to have many bad ones'. He is very careful of who he allows to get close to him for fear of getting hurt, because of this he is sometimes too cautious and he is very aware of it. He has sometimes missed out on good friendships or fun times with friends because of his cautious ways. He can also be a little bit of a pessimistic. Only his closest friends know about his deepest feelings and struggles and to many who don;t know him well he appears boring, and too reserved. His views on romance are a bit mixed up. He can't deny he would like a mate someday, but finding the right one seems nearly impossible. He has trouble talking about his feelings and his awkward attempts at romance in the past haven't turned out well. But, maybe someone will find his somewhat cautious and awkward attempts endearing.
