: Why :
After I originally posted, I realized how much I disliked the name I chose. I thought about the Viscet, it's colors mostly, and then I remembered Zugzwang. I thought the name would fit the Viscet well, as it has the colors of chess, and personally, I think it looks like the chess type.

Zugzwang is incredibly intelligent and determined. He never backs down from a chess tournament, or even a simple game. He's obsessed with the game, and he will challenge anyone, be them Viscet or man. Zugzwang also has a very calm attitude. He enjoys meditating before and after a match, and encourages others to do the same.
: How Did He Get Into Chess :
Zugzwang learned to play chess from humans. He came into contact with humans while searching for food. He watched them play chess from the bushes, as he had never seen humans before, and he was frightened by them. However, his coloration got him spotted quickly. The humans proceeded to teach Zugzwang how to play chess. His intelligence allowed him to learn quickly, and he was soon beating the humans. However, the humans often said the phrase 'Zugzwang' when they were around him. He just thought this was his name, and he came running whenever he heard someone say it. Sadly, over time, the humans left their play place. However, Zugzwang remained, playing games of chess with himself. He hopes to someday teach other Viscets to play chess.
