What's up with all the items??;
Kazim is fairly superstitious
and is always aware of
spirits around her. When
she was young, she
experienced a haunting and
from then on wore those
items to ward off angry
or cruel spirits. Even
though she is often teased
about this, she doesn't
mind too much and often
jokes along with them in
a lighthearted manner.

but the biggest one that chills her to the bone is
angry or vengeful spirits. She not only knows what
they are capable of, but has experienced it first
hand and thus has an immense reason behind

Kazims favorite thing in the
whole wide world is a sunset
on an ocean. She adores the
colors and the way the waves
reflect it, not to mention the
gentle noise of the waves

Animal "Companion"
▊Long ago, Kazim encountered
▊an injured Lynx kit while
▊exploring the edge of a riverbed.
▊At first, the two didn't get along,
▊exchanging hisses and snapping at
▊each other on occasion. Eventually
▊though, Kazim sucked up enough
▊courage to get a little closer and
▊learn a little more. Since then, the
▊two have been nearly inseparable.
▊The Lynx, who Kazim named Crypt,
▊now works to help Kazim in collecting
▊things and aiding other viscets. But
▊Kazims favorite part, is curling up with
▊him at night and feeling his warm, soft
▊fur against her side.
Past the Veil
▓Some believe that animals
▓are capable of seeing "past
▓the veil" to be able to view
▓the spirit world long with
▓that of the living. When
▓questioned on this, however,
▓Kazim simply laughs and
▓says that she only knows
▓of their presence from a
▓warm or cold feeling and
▓a sense that something is
▓watching her. These feelings
▓never fade, except for rare
▓nights when she gets sleep,
▓and often can leave her
▓vulnerable. This is where
▓Crypt comes in. The young
▓Lynx is her extra senses and
▓alerts her to any living thing
▓nearby. This protects her
▓from ambushes or sneak
▓attacks and provide her with
▓more comfort and confidence
▓as she goes for her evening strolls.

▓to connect with spirits

▓talismans that she claimed
▓had kept her safe from an
▓evil even greater than
▓anyone could imagine.
▓Kazim now wears these
▓Talismans on her scarf
▓with extra runes on them
▓to protect her from evil
▓and the greater force her
▓great grandmother had
▓spoken of.
Dreams of a Different Life
▓Kazim has often times caught
▓herself gazing at a Viscet couple
▓as they take their young viscling
▓outside to view the world. She
▓has often times found a quiet
▓longing for a normal life, away
▓from spirits and runes, with a
▓mate and viscling of her own.
▓Yet, even in her darkest hours,
▓Kazim never truly wants her
▓life to change. And even though
▓she may not have a viscling of
▓her own yet, she has Crypt to
▓fill the gap until then. If she can
▓actually find a male who will get
▓along with her that is.

▓Kazims social skills are...
▓Lacking to say the least.
▓She often is quiet or
▓withdrawn and would
▓much rather listen than
▓speak. When thrown
▓under the spotlight,
▓she often panics and
▓stutters so much that
▓she ends up resembling
▓a broken record. Lucky
▓for her, the few friends
▓she's managed to make
▓always help her out when
▓she needs them. There
▓are times when she has
▓courage and is capable
▓of not only speaking firmly,
▓but arguing with another
▓over something she not only
▓believes, but knows to be
▓true. This sudden valor can
▓spike up at the most
▓unexpected times and often
▓can take her out of sticky
▓situations, or throw her right

The Markings of a Soul
▊"Your markings prove your
▊souls goodness." One of the only
▊phrases that Kazim has ever heard
▊from a spirit. Curious of who this
▊was and what they meant, Kazim
▊went about asking for information
▊on her great grandmother, though
▊without photography, all
▊descriptions were pretty far apart
▊from each other. Frustration and
▊close to giving up, Kazim went to
▊sleep beside Crypt, only to have a
▊rather peculiar dream. In this dream,
▊she stood before a foggy mirror.
▊Her purple and red markings were
▊gone along with her beloved items,
▊leaving her silver and feeling plain.
▊Suddenly, a grey mist dissolved
▊beside her and touched her shoulder
▊gently. All at once, her markings
▊returned in a flash of red and purple
▊light and words echoed through her
▊mind. "Your markings represent
▊your soul. Bear them with pride."
▊After that, she awoke with a jump,
▊startling poor Crypt in the process.
▊From that day on, she no longer
▊asked for information on her great
▊grandmother, but she did seem to
▊have more confidence when
▊complimented on her elegant markings.
Hunting and Gathering
▊In all honesty, Kazim is
▊not a big hunter. Since
▊her mother neglected.
▊to show her how, and.
▊her father was rather.
▊vague and fast paced..
▊in his teachings, she....
▊doesn't entirely know..
▊how to hunt, so she....

▓Kazims den is a rather
▓lovely thing to be hold.
▓Once a simple mound of
▓grass coated earth, she
▓dug it out to create a flat
▓burrow-like cave. Inside,
▓moss rests in the very
▓back, soft from the
▓consistent fluffing it
▓receives before and after
▓bed. Near the pile of
▓moss, several assorted
▓types of berries and nuts
▓rest inside of broad seashells
▓and give off a delightful aroma.
▓Outside, several dark violet
▓flowers grow along the entrance
▓to the den and vines hang
▓leisurely before the entrance.
▓Six stones rest atop it, right
▓above the arching entrance, which
▓keeps rain water from falling
▓directly off the front edge. Many
▓viscets have spread rumors about
▓the bones of birds and rabbits in
▓there along with stone bowls filled
▓with mystical goop that can give
▓you hallucinations. Of course, none
▓of this is true, and she will actually
▓allow any Viscet to look inside or
▓stay the night. When it's pouring,
▓the entire pack has an invitation
▓to come inside and sleep out of the
▓cold rain, though most decline out
▓of fear for what might be within the
▓den of the Soul Speaker, or so the
▓more imaginative call it.
