Guardian Foxes are a species of canine closely related to Fennec Foxes. Fully grown, they tend to be about the size of an adult German Shepherd or Great Dane. Humans often keep these canines as companions due to their strange and mysterious powers, which include the ability to control the dreams of their owner using the mist that surrounds their eyes, paws and tail. Feathers, usually simply used to show off the Guardian's style, are frequently found on the animal's ears and tail. Their coats can contain any color or marking, their mists frequently found in any color except black. Black misted Guardians must have experienced something negative during their lifetime for their mist to be black, and frequently give their owners nightmares instead of positive dreams.

From a young age, it was discovered that Farfalla's presence could calm just about anybody lucky enough to come within a close distance of her. Not a genetecist nor a biologist could work out why she had this effect on others; nothing unusual was found in her genes or DNA, and neither parent could be identified with any strange affliction that could be the answer. Farfalla was a mystery to her neighbours and enemies alike.

Even as a young child, Farfalla was heralded as a bringer of peace and light and known throughout the lands for the peace that she could potentially bring to the war-ridden country that her kind called 'home'. She couldn't understand what was so special about herself at such a young age and with limited intelligence, and a life without witnessing fear or anger was shaping her into a weak and fragile creature as the years went by.

One day, the young guardian fox's home country was struck by a particularly sudden war. Enemies seemed to be everywhere; and as such, nowhere was safe for anyone. Farfalla and her loved ones along with everybody else on their side weren't prepared at all, forcing them to flee at a lack of ways to fight back.

Backstory:
She was born on a small island, not far of the coast of Peru, which was a protected sanctuary for the the different 3,700 species of butterflies that live there. Over hundreds of years, the small group of foxes that live there became influenced by the population of butterflies, and then evolved over the years to have wings. But Pilla's pair are the biggest and most beautiful ones. Her wings are very powerful and she takes very good care of them. Butterflies are attracted to her (the secret is her shampoo) and often play in her mist. Some say her destiny is to become the guardian of the butterflies, instead of a human. She's not too sure about that
