What are they?

Puffin-Snouted Lizardtails, better known as "Puffsnouts", are a colorful mammal slightly resembling a bird, a dog, a lizard, and a cat. They have large, stout bodies, are approximately three feet in height, have a large, scaled and furred leopard gecko like tail, a furry body, and a beak-like face. Their ears are similar in shape to that of a deer's. They are very intelligent, having their own complex language and able to learn the language of other animals and humans. They mainly eat fish, fruits and meat, however they do not eat birds. They have small, but very sharp fangs and long claws that are retractable only on their front paws. They live in groups called "Clouds" ( EX: A Cloud of Puffsnouts ) that claim their own territories, but are usually peaceful with their neighbors. Puffsnouts are from another world and are, in a sense, "portal" animals who have the ability to travel to other worlds by use of their ability to create and close portals. They enjoy swimming, and their thick coats are somewhat waterproof. For Further information, visit the About Section.

This is a game I've played with users on an adoption center I have on another site. The game this is based off is "Mastermind". The rules are as follows!

• The code is made up of three letters and three numbers! For an example, let us say it is "abc-123".
• This being decided, the contest runner - that's me, obviously - does not tell anyone this.
• You, for your first try, type a guess, say it is "any-538".
• As a reply to this I'll tell you in hints what you got wrong and what you got right! To "any-538" I would reply like so. "You have one correct letter placed correctly, while all others are false. You have one number correct, yet in the wrong location. Try Again?"/i]
• After a while, the code will slowly be revealed by my hints, so watch everyone's guesses and their answers!
• If a number is repeatedly used correctly, or a letter, I'll eventually say. [i]A__-__3 are correct!
• Then you'll have to guess only two more letters and two more numbers.
• YOU MAY ONLY GUESS ONCE UNTIL I REPLY TO YOUR GUESS.
