"Fadedgem is a soft spoken and kind soul, he does as he's told with no fuss, he helps whomever he can, and is deeply fascinated with herbs and medicine. When he grows up, he hopes to one day be the medicine cat, helping the sick and injured, working with all the herbs, being the most useful he knows how to be. When confronted, he seems to back off a lot, but if angered can stand up against his opponent with an icy stare but cannot talk otherwise he will fall apart and quiver with anger, sadness, and fear. He proves to be very passive in this sense.
Being originally from a small family of loners and then abandoned in the wilderness, Fadedgem has pledged devotion to his clan and tries his best to prove to them that he can be loyal and trustworthy. Also from his loner side, he had grown up with a different religion, but still connected to Starclan, and will feebly try and defend this religion of his to the best of his ability. It means everything to him and to take that away from him would be murder on his heart.

Fadedgem still holds strongly on to his religion and would never give it up for anything ever. He believes in Starclan, but he believes that there are spirits of Starclan in everything, and that everything is a beating heart and soul of the one true deity of Mother Earth. Each Starclan warrior is her child she bears life to in each tree, stone, river, everything in nature. Everything has meaning, everything has life, and it was all given to help them live and survive. He thanks the Mother for all She has given him every night with an unusual prayer ending in "blessed be" which causes a few head turns every now and again, but he doesn't mind, he just shies away as usual.
Every time he dreams, he feels closer to Starclan and the Earth and all that lives and breathes around him. He feels at peace, and even though he's never received a prophecy, his mind is open for them at any time when he is in REM sleep. His dreams take him down a starry path of faith and hope that gives him a reason to continue living even when those paths of stone seem to ebb away into dust.
So don't ever mess with Fadedgem's religion, it's what keeps him alive.

" -carrying around a corpse. "His best friend is Dovesong because she understands him. She may be crazy and adventurous, but she knows when to slow down for him. Contrary to popular belief, neither of them have crushes on each other, their relationship is purely platonic friendship. Dovesong knows how sensitive and passive Fadedgem can be and takes care of him when he's in a bind, and that's all he could ever ask for!

Fadedgem isn't interested in becoming a father, he has his eyes set straight on being medicine cat, which means he can't be tied down to anyone, and he's okay with that.

" Do what ye will and in it harm none. "He came from a very small family of loners who brought him up to a certain point in kithood with their beliefs and traditions before abandoning him alone for being to weak to defend himself, which ironically would be against their religion as it states "An' ye harm none, do what ye will." Ever since then, Shiverwolf has been his adoptive mother in taking care of him since she has no mate or kits of her own.

Fadedgem is very insightful when it comes to others and can easily talk to them as if he could personally relate to their pain, making him a very good cat to talk to. He also is very good at predicting what someones next move might be just by thinking logically. He's not always right, but when he is it's astounding.
He's more of a doormat than anything. He lets others walk all over him and when he tries to stand up for himself all he can do is stare because if he talks he falls apart completely. Dovesong is trying to help him get more of a backbone. The one cat he's scared of is Ravenflight because she is intimidating and doesn't really care for his spineless personality. Fadedgem also has a habit of getting startled easily and being clumsy when frightened.

" Stars can't shine without darkness. "Fadedgem loves the stars, he thinks they are absolutely beautiful and would spend his whole time just laying in the grass watching them if he could, counting the constellations he could find, naming different stars, creating myth and folklore stories in his mind about each one, and just enjoying himself in peace.
He also has a strong fondness of herbs and stones. He uses a lot of known remedies for healing on his own so he wouldn't bother the current medicine cat for anything, but he also uses a lot of methods no one seems to have an idea about. He uses crystals, gems, and stones to heal his mind and spirit, to give him strength, courage, and energy each day because he believes that Starclan kisses each stone with magic every time he blesses them. He says a cute little prayer ending with "blessed be" each night before placing them under his nest in a spot where it wouldn't be too uncomfortable if they aren't already star-kissed, and he's learned to tie them with string he once found by a two leg house into necklaces for protection and wisdom and such.
Fadedgem dislikes those who do not accept him for who he is. If you can't just live and let be, then to him you are biased and cruel and deserve whatever karma comes your way. He does not believe in harming others unless it is prey for food, which is another reason why he would absolutely die happy if he became medicine cat.
The one thing he absolutely hates the most though, is winter. Winter brings depression, death, and sickness and with it all... his hope. It's a dark time for him, not even the Mother could keep him awake in these dark times, but he tries his best not to let it show.
