Henry has always been fond of a more minimalist style, so it makes sense that this is how he dresses. However, his accessories have more significant meaning than simple preference. See, the tags belonged to his grandfather, who was a soldier in his day. Though he is an irritable soul, Henry loves his pop very much, and his pop loves him, even if he can't always show it.

So on his eighth birthday, (just a year ago now), as a way to express his love, his pop gave the tags to Henry. He told him to "Toughen up and wear them with pride," and so Henry does. Though he doesn't fully understand the history or meaning of the tags, he wears them as proudly as any soldier.

But what about the sunnies? Oh well, he mainly just likes them cause they 'make him look cool.'
