What is a Keardor?
A Keardor is a smaller cousin species of the Kora. It is a type of big cat with a bright spirit and a love for feathers. Keardors are partially feathered themselves, usually at their rears and cheeks. Crown and ankle feathers are less common. They have feathery dorsal manes that rut backwards or upright. They are short at the head and never fall forward. Their tails are huge and plumy, and they take great pride in this feature. Keardors, like Koras, often have spots, but significantly fewer. They usually stay restricted to paws, face, and/or rear. Keardors are quite outgoing and lovable, though very finicky about choosing a master.
Perhaps, you can be their companion of choice.
Timer probably lies pretty bad. I stopped for a leisurely snack
This one's colors and stripes are based on a really neat colorful biplane I saw at the air museum

The birds were sort of my own little touch

To win this one, tell me about its favorite memory!~ Other extras are optional

Kredas
{Pronounced Kre-das}
This name means
believe in Esperanto.

Male
{Told from Kredas's own point of view}I've always been interesting in flying things; birds, bats, kites, planes, jets, helicopters, insects, etc. When I was five years old (human years) I went to the beach for the first time with my parents. A flock of seagulls passed by above us rapidly. I stared at the flap their wings and soar with the air currents. It was the first time I've seen a seagull, but mainly I was curious of why they were flying so fast. I was assuming they were in a hurry, but why? Soon I heard the roaring of a plane's engine and propellers. I looked up again and saw a plane that zoomed across avoiding the seagulls by just barely a inch. I was amazed. Though the plane's colors did look a bit familiar. I wonder where I've seen those colors before.. I look around and then look at myself. Oh... I have those colors..I chuckle and then go over to my dad. I ask him about the plane. He tells me its a biplane that was made for the sea, so its a seaplane as well. I listen carefully as my dad explains more details about the plane. A few minutes later I hear something large skidding alone the water, kinda like a jet ski or a speedboat. I turn my head to the ocean and see the plane flying right above the water. I was amazed. I never knew a plane could do that! I guess that's why its also a 'sea'plane.
14 years later..
I'm currently 19 (human years). On my birthday this year, I went with a few friends to a private airport. One of my friends had rented a plane. As we arrived, my friend pointed to a plane, i recognized it as the biplane i saw at the beach when i was younger immediately. Then it even got better. My friend told me that we would be flying in that same plane! I was extremely surprised, happy, and anxious. Then he told me that I would be flying it. My excitement dropped. I didn't know how to fly a plane! He calmed me down and told me that he'd teach me. He'd learnt to fly biplanes when he was a 14. I smiled as my began to be excited again and more confident. The plane only had two seats, one for the pilot and one for passenger. Luckily the four of us could fit in those seats as they were quite big, two in each seat. It was squished, but it was worth it. He taught me a few tips and the controls of the plane, then we drove the plane to the take off lane. I got nervous again, but I
believed in myself. I slowly used my paws and changed the plane into flying mode and started it up, slowly we began moving down the runway and started speeding up. We finally took off 2 minutes later and the view was breath taking! Since biplanes dont have roofs, the view was just even more spectacular. Ten minutes later, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. In front of us, were a flock of seagulls, and we were flying in the exact same path this plane flew when I first saw it. I avoided the seagulls, and then we gently lowered to the sea level and swiftly flew right above the water. I reached out my paw and touched the ocean. It was absolutely amazing. It was utter
paradise. A few hours later we returned to the airport and the amazing journey ended.
Both of those would have to be my favorite memories. I wouldn't be able to pick one by itself. :)
Here is also some art of my keardor, Reed, learning from Kredas of how to be cool XD

[ My form for this pretty guy owo ]

username // xelia.
name // icarus.
name meaning // greek god of flight.
gender // male.
memory // the sun hovered over the water, casting rippled shadows along the waves. this was his chance. icarus had always felt a little lost on the ground. his appearance told him he was a keardor, but his mind disagreed. he felt as though, at any moment, he should be able to whip out feathered wings of red, orange and yellow, and to be able to fly into the azure sky. but he didn't have wings. he couldn't fly. until now. he glanced over the edge of the cliff. the water brushed up against the rocks far, far below. not willing to give himself time to consider it, icarus jumped. the moment his paws left the ground, he felt freer than he ever had. the wind brushed through his fur and ruffled his feathers. for that split moment, he felt he could do anything. the sunset glowed in front of him as he dropped. he took a huge breath of air, and held it in his lungs. nothing could beat the satisfaction of flying, icarus knew it. it felt like slow-motion, yet it all happened in a mere few seconds. closing his eyes, he hit the water. the shock of ice cold water didn't worry him; because, for the first time in forever, he had experienced flying.
