Parrapups, or Parras, are an omnivorous, aviary quadrupedal species that originated from tropical areas, but after they were domesticated, they gained more levels of fur and different beaks. All parras spend a lot of time cleaning themselves, and preening their feathers if they have wings. Parras come with a variety of tails and beaks, but good luck finding one that does! Having a large gene pool Parras also have the chance to show some mutations. They come in a large variety of colors including bright neons and dull greys. All parras are a very social in some way and love to whistle, sing, and chatter to others- Parra or not!

maleShort StoryCormac crouched beside the lake, keeping a steady eye on what was below the surface. A rainbow trout swam its way across the bank, not noticing the intruder. Cormac cocked his head to follow the fish.
Steady, steady... Almost, and... he snatched up the fish with one swipe of his paw. It wriggled helplessly, trying to break the parra's grasp. The trout was too slippery to hold onto, and the fish flopped to the ground, getting itself dirty. Cormac picked it up again, struggling hard to keep it in his paws. This time, when the fish broke free, it flailed the wrong way, landing smack on Cormac's face. He shrieked and chucked the fish back into the water, flying into the air and into safety. Cormac panted hard. Who knew fish could be so scary?
No. Cormac reminded himself, shaking his head. With a new rush of false confidence, he dove down to the lake, stretching out his paws to catch what was underneath. Cormac didn't pull up fast enough, and landed painfully face first into the filty lake. He somersaulted underwater and landed at the bottom, about twenty feet below the surface. Cormac puffed up his fluffy cheeks, hoping to preserve air. His lungs still burned painfully. He returned to the surface gasping for air, his beautiful fur and shiny beak soaking. Once on land, the hybrid creature ruffled his mane to perfection, spread his wings, and shook like a dog. Suddenly, he felt something slippery and raw in his mouth. He spat out the fish that he had attempted to catch earlier, and angrily smacked it into the lake, resulting in a splash.
Maybe fishing isn't a sport for me... Cormac decided.
