Notes: Despite his age- this boy can still be seen "Clacking" to show his submission. The practice is normally seen in foals when they greet older horses. (not sure if that's the right term for it, but its what i was taught. )

Horse name is Domino

Day One

Domino trots on the edge of the rail away from everyone and everything else. He shows the white in his eyes and breathes heavily as I slowly approach him. Domino stops and slides on his rear legs, turning away from me. I figure I won't be able to halter him right away so I take my rope out. I approach Domino and he halts, terrified. I put the rope over his head and it slides onto his neck. He gallops off and I stay close so he doesn't feel any pulling by the rope. After Domino stops I place a wash cloth over his eyes and lead him. He hesitates but still follows.

Day Two

Its only the second day and I should gain Domino's trust. I bring a blue rope halter with me as I walk into the circle corral. Domino lifts his head from grazing and trots off, trying to get as far away as possible. I stay where I am and I wait for Domino to start grazing again. I see Domino lower his head from the corner of my I, I know he is still watching me. Since he feels comfortable enough to graze I take a step closer and hold my hand out. Domino takes a step closer and sniffs my hand. I touch his muzzle and he snorts. I pet him on his face for a little longer and move to the wither. Domino seems all right so I stay there for a couple minutes. I moved down to the front leg now and Domino seems to be uncertain of if should be letting me do this. After he feels comfortable I move to his hip. Domino pins his ears back and lets out a squeal before kicking and running off. I wait for a little and I go back to him and pet his neck,withers,and muzzle. I want to end on a good note so I finish there. I guess i'll do a join up tomorrow.
