Good morning ladies and gents! As you probably know, it is the time of year for one of Cottonwood Wild Horse Ranch's biggest events of the year. This is when that “Wild” in the name takes its part.
Has anyone heard of the
Extreme Mustang Makeoverhosted by the
BLM Wild Horse And Burro and
Mustang Heritage Foundation? This event has not only presented itself huge in real life, but also here on CS! Want to be a part of it? Keep on reading!
We will be making you completely wild, untouched mustangs for you to gentle and train in a matter of 75 days.
Think is sounds easy? Think again. We judge this competition on you devotion to your horse! I'm looking for devotion people!
What does devotion take? Time. I am going to be straightforward with you. You will not win this competition with a nice little personality and a short story.
What is the advantage of spending so much time training an untouched horse? Well, you can learn a ton, practice writing and art skills, and if you do win you get a ton of prizes, and not just from CWHR, we have sponsers below who have special custom and prizes made especially for the winner of this competition!
You can have anything on your entries. I am thinking that art, daily blogging, tracking progress, and stories of you training your horse are the best, but you can add whatever you want.
Sign up sheets will be open from the 1st to the 21st of June (there might be some exceptions for late entries). The horses will be revealed on the 22nd. Each horse that comes out will be completely different. When we make these horses, they will only be coming from our own creatitity and using no reference pictures. However, we ask that you not complain about what horse you get, each horse has its own personality despite what it looks like.
We are hoping, with the amount of time that you spend with your horse, that you will create a special bond with them.
You will have till the 4th of September to finish your training. On that day I will start judging. The winner will be announced shortly after.
If you think you are up to this, please fill out the form below. Last year we had lots of people sigh up for horses, and then never come to pick them up, so, pretty please know that you will care for your horse before you sign up.
When your horse is revealed, you can go pick it up by filling out the form on its page. Your username will be on the top of the page. After that, you may start your entry. Again, we accept anything. If you are planning on doing art, and you feel you are not experienced enough, don't worry! We will have honorable mention prizes for both experienced and beginner art. Your points will add up with the amount of words you typed, art you made, and extras you added. The person who had the most points will win overall champion, or 1st place. We will also have 2nd, and 3rd, so everyone can have a better chance.
Ok. let me try to finish this off. When you get your horse, you will be added to their coloring list, so you may add accessories, tack, change their background, edit their mane and tail, but you may NEVER EVER mess around with their coloring. Please, don't even touch the layer for their coloring. If you do, you will be disqualified! I don't mean to scare you, but I am serious about this. Last year our contestants did very good, and I don't think anyone disobeyed that rule!
Talking about rules, let's get to all of them. I will keep the list short, don't worry!
