Day one -
I wake up late and hurry and get dressed "John ,!!"I call to my ranch hand and best friend ."time to go get the horse??"he asks pulling my hat off ."yes,"I say grabbing my hat from him "is the horse trailer attached to the truck?"I ask impaitently.he smirks at me "you are really nervous,yes it is raven let's get going."he says and we walk to the truck and hop in.it takes a couple hours but since we live in Colorado we get to the BLM round-up grounds quickly."this is it"I say and go get the ticket that tells me where my horse is'north pens' I think and walk there
"hey,raven!!"says my friend willow that lives on a ranch near me "still working here ??"I ask her smiling"yep,it is really fun.need some help finding your horse??he is that gelding on the end"she says pointing to a gelding with bright blue eyes.i walk over to him."hey boy,"I say to him softly 'what!!'i thought the BLM said I would be getting a mare not a gelding "John help me load him in"I say to him and we are about to put him in the trailer when willow said in a serious voice "just to help you out a bit but he is so afraid of dogs so you will be needing to teach him not to fear them 'uh,oh!!' I think since I own 17 dogs in total we load him up into the trailer and take him home.
LaterI jump out of the truck and stretch then grab a lead rope and halter from the back seat"John could you go check to see if his stall is ready?"I ask going to the trailer to unload him."sure ,I heading that way to check on glass anyway"he said walking to the stable."easy boy,"I say opening the trailer door .he starts to kick."WHOAH!'"I say putting my hands up . I hear my dog Shepard drooling from behind me "Shepard go!!"I say in a scared tone but the dog keeps coming forward and the gelding starts to neigh wildly ."HELP!!"I yell and a ranch worker takes the dog away."it is ok boy,the dog is gone"I say to my horse and quickly put the halter on and the lead rope and lead him to his stall ."whoo wee,he seriously hates dogs"I say to John as I settle him into his stall "hey ,I had a idea how to fix that .come and see"he says taking me to the stall next to my geldings stall.i look in it and see my dog that had puppies 4 weka ago in the stall "nice plan but,it might not work "I say and start to feed the gelding.
'he needs a name'i look at him blonde and white hair and his blue eyes and the name Eros pops in my head"Eros,a excellent name"I say
Day two-
I ride my horse glass my beautiful Appaloosa mare I adopted."ok glass I got to take you back to the fields"I say walking her to the fields and shut the gate after she gets in.i walk with my apple to Eros's stall "hey boy,"I say trying to touch him.he snorts and walks to the back end of the stall."do you want a apple??"I say holding out my apple on my hand .he quickly comes over and grabs it then heads back to the other end of the stall to eat it "well,it was worth a shot,"I say heading out of the stable .

Day three-
He was very crazy today.he kicked the black smith that came to give him shoes five times when getting shoes.he calmed down when he was back in his stall though.he is very edgy and nipped at the stable boy who brought Eros a bale of hay.i am afraid I won't train him in time.he still is afraid of dogs but not as afraid.He is really a good horse but the stable boy is injured.now I have to feed him since he trusts me.
later...Finally got him to let me touch him.i had to distract him with a bit of apple .he looks. Very nice in his new halter.I put already rope on him and walked him around ,then I got onto my other horse and Eros walked along with us.tomorrow I will try to put some tack on him.he also has this cute habit of rubbing against your hand when you pet him.
Day four-
The silly horse went crazy when I put on his saddle.he did calm down after I put his bridle on and the lead rope.
To get him used to having someone on his back I put some bags of chicken food hat weigh about the weight of a avergage person a lead him around for a bit.he bucked a bit at first but he finally did what I wanted him to do and walked with me.he loves apples so I will reward him with apples.he is finally warming up a bit to dogs though he is more trusting about the puppies.possibly since he is young??
