{Don't fret precious
I'm here,
step away
from the window.
Go back to sleep.
Safe from pain,
and truth,
and choice,
and other poison devils.
See, they don't give a
---- about you, like I do.
Count the bodies
like sheep...
Count the bodies
like sheep...
Counting bodies like sheep
to the rhythm
of the war drums.
Count the bodies like sheep...
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Counting bodies like sheep,
to the rhythm of
the war drums.
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Counting bodies like sheep...
Go back to sleep...
Go to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Counting bodies like sheep...
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
Counting bodies like sheep,
to the rhythm of
the war drums.
Go back to sleep...
Go back to sleep...
I’ll be the one
to protect you,
from your enemies
and all your demons.
I'll be the one
to protect you,
from a will to survive
and a voice of reason.
I'll be the one
to protect you,
from your enemies
and your choices son .
They're one
in the same,
I must isolate you…
Isolate and save
you from yourself…

Name of EnerroX:
The Undertaker
Nickname:
Marduk
Akkadian name meaning "solar calf." In Babylonian mythology, this is the name of a god said to have killed a dragon named Tiamat. In the bible, he is known by the Hebrew name Merodach, and is a Babylonian idol, probably the planet Mars, which like Saturn was regarded by ancient Semites as the author of bloodshed and slaughter, and was propitiated with human victims.
He's also sometimes called "Mar" or "Mars".
Gender:
Male
Despite this, he has no interest in love or finding a "mate.
One could say his true love is death.
Or, he could be considered asexual, I suppose.
Personality:
Cold and seemingly uncaring, Marduk is a soul you definitely do not want to meet in a dark alleyway. His glowing yellow eyes have a harshness about them that easily sends a chill down your spine. In addition to that, he often sticks solely to the shadows, rarely stepping into any form of light, which leaves any details except for his fire and his eyes completely up to the viewer's imagination, only adding to the fear and uncertainty of who- or what- he really is. Very few know about him, and fewer know anything about him. He's like Slenderman or Jeff the Killer; the legend is there, yet he's a ghost in the fog.
When you actually get to know Marduk, though, he's very respectful to those who deserve it. He has a particular soft spot for children, and will soften up drastically when speaking to a child spirit, and will often lead them personally to the edge of the portal because, more often than not, they're scared even when they don't understand the meaning of "dying" or "passing on". Sometimes, if the child is small enough, he'll even carry them on his back in one last act of kindness before they meld into the Elysium Fields, as he prefers to call them. He also has a similar soft spot for soldiers that have died honorably, and will treat them with the utmost respect that he knows they deserve.

Art & Story:
Slinking down the pitch dark hallways, the occasional nurse's light glowing in the darkness the soft tak of Marduk's claws was loud in the silence. At the end of the hall, completely unaware of his presence, the blonde-haired woman scribbling away dutifully at paperwork as she glanced at the monitors every once in awhile.
Slipping unseen into one of the patient's rooms, into the soft red glow of a heat lamp, the sound of the heart monitor beating in a steady rhythm and creating a constant noise in the background. Yellow eyes settling on his prize, he crept forward like a snake in the grass, his movements fluid and once again silent. Grinning as he raised himself up on his hind legs, he assessed the man. He was a burn victim, obviously, his skin mottled and charred. It must have been bad for the hospital to require a heat lamp. Sniffing his arm, he took a slight whiff of the human's essence: His name was Cameron, seventeen. He had been in a gasoline explosion, swerving to avoid a child in the road but slamming into a gas tanker. Apparently the fire department hadn't been fast enough, and the gasoline had combusted with the collision of metals.
Pulling himself easily onto the bed, his flame-colored tongue slid out of his mouth to lick his lips; here came the favorite part of his job. Pressing his nose gently to the teen's forehead, Marduk's brain was suddenly assaulted by his memories: family barbecues with fireworks, summers spent in a natural swimming hole, a girl whose cheeks were rosy in the cold winter wind. He'd had a good life, this one; just a stroke of bad luck that claimed his life. Pulling back from him, yellow eyes narrowing in sorrow for all that this young life would miss out on, the EnerroX began to chant softly in Latin, placing his paws on the motionless boy's chest. Slowly his breaths came shorter, slower, before ultimately stopping and ending the constant pain. As Marduk pulled his paw back, with it came Cameron's spirit, looking just like he had before the accident. Marduk led him up to the portal as the alarm began to sound, summoning the blonde nurse that Marduk had seen earlier.
When Cameron looked back, Marduk was quick to interject. You can try and go back, he said, mouth unmoving as he spoke telepathically to the dead. But she cannot see you and your wounds are too great; I'm afraid you'll never heal. And if I let you go back now, then I may not be able to open the portal for you again, he murmured sadly. Cameron looked torn for a moment before he nodded, turning back and allowing Marduk to lead him through the portal, and into his final resting place.
As the soft blue light closed, Marduk turned back for the door, bypassing the nurse that was desperately trying to resuscitate the boy. But he was long gone, and her attempts were in vain. Slinking out of the door, lost her her eyes, he slowly moved back down the hall, back the way he had come, on his way to visit the next human that needed his guidance.[/quote]
