A Jewel Mane Dragon is a large creature with jewels on their foreheads and tails.They eat mostly small mammals such as birds, squirrels, and rabbits. The fur on their back, hind, and front legs feel like the softest of silk and is pretty short. The fur around their neck (Also know as their mane) and tail is very soft, fluffy, and long. Jewel mane Dragons mostly keep to themselves but when they find someone they like the grow very attached, loyal, and talkative. They're all slightly bigger than a mustang but some grow to be as large as a elephant. All Jewel Mane Dragons have jewels at the end of their tail and on their forehead, there's really no exception to that rule. The jewel on their tail is used as a weapon in combat and hunting, while the jewel on their forehead is used during mating season to attract females.





Hey everyone, so here's JMD #86 for you.Just a simply graceful design up for adoption, she does have a few items, which would be the headpiece, tail string, and two braclets on her hind legs. The form Tips::
-I generally don't like reading forms where the font is too 'bright'. It tends to get hard to read and I don't continue with it.

-I like reading forms that have good grammar and some thought into it.

-Too many graphic things like from glittergraphics or like moving pictures tends to distract me too much from the actual form, a little is okay a lot is not.

-When I see extras of the JMD it makes me want to read the form because that person generally has put in a lot of effort

-Keeping forms to a decent length. If they're too short sometimes I dont bother, like if I can read t hem in 2 minutes. IF they're too long, like it will take me forever to scroll down I'll gnerelaly stop halfway through unless its really good. Keep your form to a good length though, put in a lot of effort. Don't think my lazy though, I generally like to see people when they have good long forms that have effort put into them. But if they're just a punch of random graphics and I need to scroll and scroll and scroll, I just don't like to continue.

-When you do have extras such as art (a great plus) I like it when they're visually on the form in a creative or nice organized way. That way I don't have to click on every single link to the drawing.

Personality wise Lyra is very diverse. She may start off as a shy stuttering cutie to a loyal and sometimes bold friend. This boils down to the fact Lyra`s pretty shy when she meets well anyone, but once you gain her trust she can be one of the best friends you`ll ever have. Lyra values loyalty, but only those close to her heart will earn it from her. Lyra also tends to be very modest, preferring not to build her own ego. She would rather others to have the spotlight, than her to be in the spotlight due to boasting. She also tends to be meticulous, always trying to perfect every aspect of everything she does. Diligent is also another good way to describe Lyra, as she gives 110% on everything she does. A sharp mind sits in Lyra`s pretty head. She normally has no trouble wrapping her head around a problem and can usually solve things quickly. Lyra can also be very fussy over small details in her life and the well being of friends. Naomi uses her pink jewel by making herself look pretty when she is going to ballet class - she usually has boxing class before it, so she doesn't want to look like a mess in front of a bunch of people. If there is someone who is getting picked on because they aren't 'beautiful' enough for them, she will make them pretty. She also makes flowers look pretty when they are drooping, or dying. Or, if she's going somewhere really fancy, she'll make herself pretty, also.
H E R T A L E N T :
Naomi, as you could probably see above, is a ballet dancer, and trying to become a professional boxer.
P E R S O N A L I T Y :
Naomi is mostly nice to people - since she is afraid she'll lose a possible friend - and because it's just of her nature. She also doesn't like to see someone's bad side - she says it's good to just be nice then to have somone mad at her all day or for weeks, months, maybe even years.
Naomi also loves to impress people - you know, make a good first impression. If she's going to meet somone, she uses her jewel to make her pretty. When she was little, she didn't know how to use her jewel, and people called her ugly. So, she learned how to use her jewel, but then, when she was older, she was beautiful, but she still thinks she is ugly.
Naomi is a brave person, though. She'll try to do anything in her will for people, even if it's dangerous. She just wants someone's trust - and someone she can trust, too. She'd do anything to be trusted by.
Naomi is also a very curious jewel - which often gets her in trouble. If there was a dark cave - curiousity would get the best of her. Or, as you could say, curiousity killed the jewel, or cat, whatever.
Naomi is a trustoworthy jewel. If you gave her a secret - a big secret or small - she wouldn't tell a soul anything. She likes to keep people's trust rather than break it.
Naomi is a stubborn person - which is one of her bad traits. If she's mad, which most likely she wouldn't be, she wouldn't eat anything, say anything, or do anything. She also usually likes to do things her way - which makes other people mad at her.

H I S T O R Y :
Naomi's mother was from Mexico, and her father from Japan. The two did know English, which was a good thing. Her mother went to Japan, to meet other ballet dancers from Japan. Naomi's dad was a boxer, and as her mother was walking back to her hotel, she bumped into her dad. "Oh, exscuse me," Naomi's mother said softly. Her dad looked down at the beautiful pink jeweld girl. He smiled gently at her, "Oh, it's okay, it was me," he said. Naomi's mother looked up at him, a small smile being planted on her face. "Hey, your that famous boxer, yes?" she asked. She thought his face looked familiar. "Yes, I am," he said with a nod. "The name's -" her dad was cut off by her mother. "Oh, yes, I know who you are. Yoshiki, am I correct?" she asked softly. Yoshiki smiled, "Yes, and your name?" he asked. "My name is Laylani," she said, shuffling her feet. Yoshiki almost didn't notice she was in her ballet dress. "Ah, a ballet dancer?" he asked. Laylani smiled with a giggle. "Yep," she answered. Yoshiki smiled, "How about we meet up at the park down the street tomorrow?" he asked. Laylani nodded quickly. They both smiled, waving to each other as they walked away.
Three years later, the two got married, at the age of 22. Four years after that, at age 26, they had Naomi, in Mexico. Naomi was raised in Mexico, learning Japaneses along with English, since her first language was Spanish. Her mother wanted her to take ballet classes at age four, which the small Naomi agreed to. Her father wanted her to join boxing when she was 6. Naomi also agreed with it. So, every Saturday and Sunday the small Naomi would walk by herself to her boxing classes, then run all the way across town to get to ballet on time. When she was 7, she was in a beauty contest, but got third place. When she was in school, she was chubby. So, everyone in her class called her 'fat', 'ugly,' and 'weirdo.' She ignored the hurtful comments till she was 9, when she finally figured out how to use her jewel. She made herself beautiful, then everyone wanted to be her friend. Though, she ignored them for being so cruel to her. At the age of 11, she lost the fat, and didn't have to use her jewel anymore to make herself beautiful. Everyone wanted to date her. Everyone wanted to be her friend. Everyone wanted to sit by her. She didn't talk to anyone there, the only person she'd talk to was the loner boy who was kind of chubby - any everyone was mean to him. They were best friend till he moved to America. Then, Naomi was alone once again. At the age of 13, her father and mother wanted to move to America, which they did. Naomi seen her best friend - but now he was popular - and said he was to popular for Naomi. Turned down by her best friend, Naomi never talked to anyone, not even the school counsler she had to go to. She'd just give him rolls of her eyes. She eventually got back into boxing a few months after moving, which made her very happy. A month after that, she joined a ballet class, and was the best dancer there. At the age of 14, she won the tournament for boxing, which made her dad very proud. At the age of 15, she broke her leg and couldn't be in ballet till it was fully healed - and had to wait 5 months to get back into boxing. When she returned to ballet, everyone and everything was the same. Once she returned to boxing, someone already took her chamionship, which made her very mad. She practiced everyday to win back her chamionship. The night she had to box the so called 'champion', she had a high fever. Her mother told her not to go, even her dad. She snook out, and went to the arena, where the large girl was, smiling at Naomi as she narrowed her eyes. Naomi fought and fought, till the girl beat her. Everyone boo'ed Naomi, and told her she wasn't good enough. About 2 months after her 16 birthday, and her big party, she re challenged the girl - and this time - she won. This is where she is now, and is proud!

Finally, out of the house! I thought, putting up my hood as I looked behind me to see my yellow American house, with bushes all around it. I was glad my parents didn't see me sneak out - or else I would've been grounded for a month! "Just because I'm sick doesn't mean I can't compete," I whispered to myself, looking down at the grey cement sidewalk as I walked. My parents weren't being fair - saying I had to much of a fever to compete - but, whatever. I felt a cold breeze roll by, ruffling my face fur. I shivered - I was already cold though I was wearing a long sleeve shirt, a jacket, and a sweatshirt. I walked slower as I came down to the busy street, seeing the lights outside the place where I boxed - the place I knew so well - but hadn't seen in months. I sighed softly, waiting for a blue car to roll by before I ran across the street, making sure to stay inside the crosswalk. I ran then down to the place, looking up at it. I smiled, walking into it. I heard shouts from all around me, calling my name, and the other girls' name -Jasmine. I scowled softy, as some jewels seen me, screaming loudly and cheering as they seen me. I smiled, taking off my sweatshirt, and jacket, then my long sleeve shirt to reveal my muscle shirt. I set myself on my usual pink chair, as my instructer gave me my pink and black gloves. "Ready kid?" he asked with a smile, and his usual excited tone. I looked down at my gloves as I put them down, then tied my shoes, as I looked up at him, with a nod. He helped me up from the chair, grabbing my hand, as I jumped over the ropes. I raised my paws up high, as more people began to scream and cheer, and I heard some boos in there, screaming Jasmine's name. I looked over at Jasmine, gasping at her large size. I thought she was a man at first. I gulped, looking at my instructer. He smiled, nodding and giving me two thumbs up. I sighed softly, as the man announced our names. I heard the bell, and I swore time slowed down as Jasmine hit me back into reality, square in the face. I staggered back a bit, as she then hit me again in my back. Pain ran up my spine as I heard a couple people boo at both of us. I then dodged her third strike, hitting her in the gut several times. I could feel my weak punches hit her, which didn't fase her. She hit me in the jaw, then in the nose. I felt something streaming down my face, wiping it with my glove. Blood. She punched me so hard, it made blood come out my nose. As I felt the blood, and knew it was there, I hurt badly. My instructer looked at me funny, shouting for me to hit her again. I raced forward, dodging a blow as I punced her arm, and she punched my shoulder. It felt like something snapped, but it was only my imagintaion. I felt the pain race down my arm like a cold sweat, and wanted to just scream, but I couldn't. After about thirty minutes, and we were on round four, I was beaten up badly. I hurt everyway, even my tail hurt. Jasmine just smiled, her one black eye nothing compared to my bruises and cuts. My fever was rising, and I could feel my knees giving out. Jasmine gave another punch, which made me fall to the ground. Everything around me was purple, and I could feel the blood running out of my nose, and from my bloody teeth in my mouth. I then saw darkness, and when I was woke up, I could hear boos saying, 'Booo! Naomi, you suck!' That's when it hit me. Jasmine actually beat me! I gasped, trying to get up to see the reffere already raising her paw high into the air. It felt like the air was tooken out of me. I felt like crying and screaming like a little kid. "Better luck next time, loser," Jasmine said to me, as I laid on the ground. She spit on me as she went to go claim her prize. My instructer shook his head, walking away from me to congratulate Jasmine. Everyone was leaving me there alone, giving me dirty looks as they went. I sat in the middle of the rin, my eyes watering, as I whispered 'I'm sorry,' but nobody heard it...

When I saw her, I thought she was very beautiful! I knew I wanted her - no, NEEDED her - for me. For some reason, she reminded me of myself. So, I gave her to be a boxer. She seemed like a ballet dancer, so I decided she'd be a ballet dancer and boxer! Interesting combination, hmm? I would also be a good owner to her. I'd draw her everyday, and I would be more active on chickensmoothie. I would make her a forum, friends, enemies, join rp's and everything!!! <33

She heard a small cry for help, even being as self absorbed as she was she could not just simply ignore it, she looked to the sound and saw a young dragon stuck under rubble. Elianora slowly stepped forward and lifted the rubble off the small child and smiled as they ran around her feet and then started on their way home.
