The tweeting of birds was accompanied by a dashing blue feathered figure, darting from her hooves. She watched it with awe filled eyes. Turning around, she took in a dark and light green panorama of a forest, smiling at the bold blue above. A chilly clear stream flowed a few meters away. Her eyes followed up a huge rocky incline they were near, the trees thinning out to the grey and brown. She tried to find the pretty blue bird. It was so big. The foal lied down and closed her eyes. Maybe the bird would come back.

You see, Kirara was born at sunrise. Her eyes grew wide as she took in the beauty of the morning. She watched as the great burning sun rose first over the lush green grass, then the tall trees and finally the majestic mountains surrounding her home. She just laid there in awe at the beauty of the earth and decided at once that sunrises would be her favorite sight. She tried to stand on wobbly legs to chase the sun, but fell back to the soft grass with a grunt. Would she ever catch the sun?
