Horse's Name: Astrid
Gender: Mare
Height: 16hh
Story: (WIP, changing it up again ^^)
"No way! It's not possible!" Astrid snorted, humor glittering in her mossy-green eyes. Valence had just dared her into jumping the river that flowed from the clear plue pond in the oasis, where her "family" lived. "C'mon! I can do it!" the glowing buckskin blanket colt snorted, galloping across the sand and preparing to leap the river. Astrid rolled her green eyes, but they blazed with admiration for the young Mustang. He was certainly born a leader, and she wouldn't be surprised if one day he led a herd of his own. Flattening her ears, she wheeled around to fix her gaze on the lead stallion, Sinopia, who was now glaring down at Astrid.

A year or two ago Astrid had gotten lost in a sandstorm and seperated from her own herd. She was lucky that the leader's lead mare had let her join the herd, or else Second in Command of the herd would've killed her without a word. The lead stallion still hated her, and it was too bad the leopard Mustang had become friends with his son.

"What do you think you're doing, Valence!?" he whinnied loudly, sharp enough to make Valence slide to a halt and slip right into the river. The stallion's gaze burned into hers. "You better watch it, or else you'll be kicked out of this herd faster than you can lost from one." he growled and cantered off to his son, who's laughter had ceased at his sire's tone. "Bye Astrid." he nickered softly, as he trotted, dripping with water, away from her after his father, who was lashing his cream tail. Astrid sighed and lowered her head, letting her long forelock cover her eyes. "That's it." she snorted, flattening her ears and rearing up onto her hind legs. Why should she stay somewhere where the lead stallion influenced everyone not to like her? Maybe she could find a new herd.

Feelings hurt, and heart broken, she bolted across the sand towards the river. At the last second, her uniquely cloven hooves pushed her off of the ground as she leaped neatly over the clear, blue water. For a second, everything was perfectly tranquil, and it was silent as if her problems with Valence's herd had instantly dispeared. But, in seconds that felt like ages, her front hooves hit the sand on the other side, showering sand everywhere and anger burned like a kindled flame in her stomach. Astrid's hind legs pushed forward as she tore across the sand dunes, disapearing like a mirage once you blink.

Her light, cream-colored mane blew out behind her making a perfect scene for a fairy-tale. Astrid kept running until she felt like her heart could burst, little did she know she'd have to run again. Astrid managed to shorten her stride and lope slowly across the dunes until she came to a complate stop, where she lowered her head with fatigue. Suddenly, dark clouds sped across the blue sky, blocking out the bright yellow sun. In the next second, she ran, knowing that a human must've seen her and if not one, many more. Speeding back the way she had come, but after a while began to travel obliquely across the dunes. The rain began to ebb, but her sodden coat made it uncomfortable to run in the sand, as the sand matted her belly, mane and tail. Slowing once again, Astrid glanced behind her, still loping along in case she needed to run again, but there were no humans in sight. 'Good. They'll think they just saw a mirage.' the mare thought, letting out a sigh of relief. A glistening pool of water caught her bright green gaze, and she galloped towards it. To tired to move, Astrid collapsed where she stood.

The sparkling, clear blue water's light waves were inviting enough to tempt Astrid into wading into the oasis, though it seemed to have been abandoned. The red taffy mare didn't think twice about that as the cool water rinsed away the sand and took away the ache from her tired muscles. Suddenly, Astrid couldn't move her left front leg. Panic and fear gripped her, and her stomach turned over. Next second, she couldn't move at all. It was if the water was restricting her, but when she tried to whinny she was pulled further under the water, and her cloven hooves began to sink further into the... sand beneath her. 'Quicksand'. She bgan to sink until the sand with up to her belly, and she had to struggle desperately to keep her muzzle above the water. At the last moment, Astrid writhed in the sand and water, but it sucked her deeper underneath until she closed her eyes to keep it out of the water. In the dark, there was nothing she could do but snort, as her mouth was already submerged. Everything went dark she she continued to sink. Astrid's lungs burned for air and after a few moments, there was nothing she could do...

Gasping for air the taffy leopard mare writhed in the sand nd her green eyes shot open. Squealing in fear, she bolted away from the oasis, turning to look at it. Astrid's heart was racing, pounding in her chest loud enough for anyone that was standing beside her to hear it. And that's when loneliness struck her, until a familiar whinny sounded above the wind that had picked up. A golden shape galloped towards her, and as the sand cleared away, Astrid realized it was Valence. "Valence!" she whinnied loudly, racing across to meet him. "Where have you been!? Did you really think you could survive out here without a herd?" Astrid only shook her head, suddenly weary. "Hey.. are you okay? Come on, let's go back. Sinopia had been wildly looking for her. The herd is crazy looking for you, you know." "Yeah, I doubt it." Astrid snorted, almost angerily as her ears flattened. "Your herd hates me, and I'm not going back." she added, but by the time her words had been heard by Valence, a dark palomino came into view. It was Sinopia.

"Where have you been? Are you mad?" he neighed, ears flat. But his eyes blazed with relief and.. admiration? "See? We all wouldn't be the same without you. My dad will be my dad sometimes, but maybe he comes on too strong for you to realize you complete this herd, and everyone knows it." Sinopia nodded silently, meeting her eyes for a moment before helping her to get back to the herd. Whinnies of relief blocked out every other thought, and she chose not to say anything about her dream to anyone, only her best friend, Valence.

Horse's Name: Aislinn
Gender: Mare
Height: 15.4hh
Story:

Aislinn panted as she struggled to gallop before the large sandstorm that was nearly devouring her. She quickly glanced back to look at the monster that ragged behind her. She needed to get to an oasis, she needed rest, and water.. Aislinn began to feel dehydrated ,she felt faint and dizzy. She shook her head trying to forget the dizziness, she began to think about this blazing summers day, the hot July air giving no mercy to her thirsty mouth. Aislinn kept running and began to think of how she ended up in this situation in the first place....

Aislinn trotted happily over the small dunes of the day-lit desert. The sun set slowly in the orange-y pink sky as the stars and moon began to show. Soon it would be dark and Aislinn needed a place to rest. She scanned the isolated area that she was in to find that not only was she alone, she could only see sand for miles and miles. Aislinn sighed, this is what her everyday life was going to be like? She didn't know that life in the desert could be so boring for a mare to grow up in. Aislinn now being three years old, has been there and seen it all. She has seen sunset and rise, the silhouettes of other mustangs, fighting , the little hope in others, and even the pain and suffering the desert can cause... Aislinn's mother had passed away when she was a yearling and never knew her father. Although that had happened Aislinn never seemed depressed , she was a bright and happy soul.
Aislinn dragged her hooves along the soft sand, concentrating on finding an oasis. She had traveled 18 dunes from the last oasis that she had took rest at, the next should only be 3 more away. Aislinn snorted, "I need to get there faster.." She soon broke into a cantered and began to canter off into the falling sunset. Standing on the last dune that was meant to stand before the next oasis she looked up over the darkened evening. All fell silent , she knew the predator could be out soon and she needed to be in a safe place. The winds were beginning to pick up and soon there would be sand storms.
The silence was broken by the sound of sand being flicked into the air, Aislinn's head quickly shot round half expecting to see a predator, half expecting to flee. She flinched before her gaze fell upon a small Red bay filly. Aislinn tilted her head, "Hello?"

The filly giggled and did a half rear then cantered off and came back again. "W-what is your name?" Aislinn asked hoping for an answer. The filly stood there swishing her tail, "My name is Haruhi, what's yours?" Aislinn shifted her head back to normal stood looking at the filly, "I am Aislinn," Aislinn watched the filly turn and look back and then turn back around again, "Where is your herd?" Haruhi asked her, still that little smile upon her face. "Um.. Well I don't have one." Haruhi's eyes shoneand her face expression looked curious, "Really?! Well, where will you sleep?" Aislinn sighed, she didn't like being bombed with questions, "Well, I have nowhere to stay I was hoping to find an Oasis - Before Aislinn could say anymore Haruhi jumped in, "Why don't you come with me! There is an Oasis just down here! Look!" Haruhi jumped around and pointed her muzzle towards the right. Aislinn looked over, ' How in high heavens did I miss that?!' She thought looking at the large Oasis below. "C'mon, Lets go!" The filly jumped down the sand dune and cantered towards the grass land. Aislinn began to gallop and quickly caught up to the filly and heading towards the Oasis she had hoped for.

When they had gotten there, it was know surprise when there was other mustangs there. Why would there be one small filly all alone in this big fulfilling Oasis? Aislinn rolled her eyes and then began to walk closer. Two other mustangs wondered over to where they were standing, "And who is this you bring Haruhi?!" a deep voice, that had to be a stallions, exclaimed. "Father, this is Aislinn." Haruhi smiled up at her, "Um, hello.." Aislinn said shyly, "What do you seek here?" The stallion asked rather rudely, "Father! This is a guest, have some respect!" The other creamy mustang said. "What he means to say is, what would you like here and do you mean harm? I am Serelle, and the grumpy stallion here is my father Con Artist, but you can call him - "Connor, you can call me Connor." He still said with a sharp tone. Aislinn was a little shocked at all that was happening but tried to reply with a little more bravery, "I mean no harm to any of you at all, all I wish for is a place to rest and regain my strength if that is at all possible? I have been searching for an oasis so full for a while now..." Aislinn looked up hopefully to the stallion, "Fine, you may rest and stay here for as long as you need." Aislinn was relieved, "Thank you, thank you so much." She smiled to him and received an approving nod. Haruhi smiled up to Aislinn, "Come on! You must be thirsty! I'll race to the drinking hole!" Aislinn let out a little laugh before taking off after the filly to get a refreshing drink.

After a few days of resting at the Oasis Aislinn had a good relationship with each of the members here, they were like family to her now. But she knew that one day it would be time to leave once more and that she would dread the day it came. There was something different about this day, a difference which saddened her, she knew it was the day to leave. She trotted over to the edge of the Oasis the soft grass hitting her hooves. Connor, Haruhi and Serelle all followed her as she went off. Aislinn finally turned to looked at them all and she knew that if she could cry, tears would be rolling down her face that moment. "Well I must go, there is many things that I wish to see in my life time. I will miss you all greatly." Haruhi stepped forward and looked up to her with sad eyes, "Must you really go now Aislinn?" You could hear the sadness in her little cracked voice, "Yes Haruhi, there is so much things for me to do. And if I can, I will return to you all." Aislinn smiled to her, "You would really come back?" Haruhi whimpered, "Of course I would." Connor looked up to her, "You are welcome back at any time Aislinn remember that." Aislinn smiled to him, "I will, thank you Connor, for everything." Connor simply smiled and nodded. Serelle walked over to her, "Aislinn I'll miss you so much, we all will." Aislinn's smile wobbled, "I will miss you all too." With that it meant it was time to leave, she nodded to them walked off into the dangerous desert. "Be careful, Aislinn."

Aislinn felt sand hit her and that snapped her back to the present. And that is how she got in the situation. After she left she had walked all around the desert searching for something different that would amuse her, something unique. Why did she leave in the first place? She was happy? She began to run out of breath, the sand storm gaining on her. Sand would soon fill her lungs and cause her to fall and not get back up again.. The sand storm was nearly upon her and all seemed lost. There had been so much she wanted to do,She wanted to find a mate and have a family, maybe even join a heard, see a beautiful butterfly... she had never seen one before.. Then Aislinn thought of all the happened, her sight was draining from her dizziness, if she remembered correctly from how she got in this situation, then according to her calculations there should be an Oasis right... Aislinn jumped to the left and landed on her side on something soft. It was sand. It was grass. She quickly hobbled up and hopped into a cave she once knew.
Then all .. went .. black.....

Aislinn's eyes began to open but all was still a blur. She could see figure's stand above her and they were, talking. "L-look f---er, ---'s awake" a faint voice could be heard, "A-, Ais-, Aislinn!" Aislinn finally opened her eyes fully and her vision was now clear. Around her stood Connor, Serelle and Haruhi. A smile spread across her face, she tried talking but was too fragile. "Quick, let's help her to her hooves." Aislinn adapted to her weight as the others helped her get up. "Come now, take a drink." Connor lead her out of the cave and over to the drinking hole. Aislinn drank quickly, oh how refreshing it was! She felt hydrated once more and then began to munch on the sweet soft grass. For once Haruhi wasn't talking just smiled happily. Connor spoke up once more, "You know, there hasn't been rain since the day you left. Now look." They both looked to the sky, the sun was covered by dark grey shadowy clouds. "Maybe us long mane's do bring across rain." They both laughed. Aislinn lifted up her muzzled and began to sniff the air and suddenly she felt something tickling the end of her nose, it wasn't rain, not yet. She sneezed and there and then flew from her, was a brightly coloured butterfly. Aislinn gasped in awe at the dancing colours of the magnificent creature. She finally saw, a butterfly.

Horse's Name:Jem or Jewel
Gender: Mare
Height: 15.4hh
Story: Jewel is like any other horse, except she has freedom. Ever since she was a fillie her family would travel by themselves, hiding from the two legged creatures that wanted thm for laborius jobs and even just for showing off. But Jewel was tricked. A colt that had been brought up with a man by his side tricked her, he seduced her and lured her back to a human ambush. She was tied to a post, forced to stand there while others gazed upon her beauty. A man, who had hlped in the ambush, watched the mare closely. Each day he would feed her, and brush her. He noticed how she began to deteriorate. Her eyes became dark and dull. She lost her spirit and she followed the others, in a way she never did before. The man felt sorrow for the horse. Most men still found her to be a beauty, but when this one man looked into her eyes he didn't see any beauty he saw death. So in the middle of a dark night, he crept up t where the horse had been tied up. He cut the ropes. And he shouted. "Go! Of with ye'!" The horse stood still, ready to be tied bak up. The man hit her rump carefully and shouted again, this tie she reared up. Without looking back she began to run. Her mane blew in the cool night breeze, he hooves dragged up dirt from the ground and she felt at home. The man called into the night. "You're one Jem! Make sure they never get ye' again!"

Around 3 years later, the man sat in his small house, looking out t the fields. He spotted a mare. A beauty of a mare that ran freely. It ran and it galloped and it was so free, that it looked as if it could take t the sky in flight if it wanted to! The mare still visits the man fromtimet time', so he give her a name, he called her "Jem."

Horse's Name: Invincable

Arbre {{ Means " tree " in french. }} Hope you know what that is aimed for xd
Gender: Mare
Height: 16 hh
Story:

With the gentle-looking filly having her small muzzle in the nearby river, her parents were lying right next to eachother, looking at their lovely little foal.

Little drops of water got into Invincable's, ( who was named Ivy then ) nostrils. Making her snort, her parents laughed at the silly little young mare. They all lived happily and soon joined a herd. Ivy grew up to be a shy young mare that held no interest in other stallions. But one day, everything changed.

Ivy was in the nearby forest that was filled with lakes, streams and animals. Of course, she would never tell her parents that " I'm going to wash the mud off my hoves " excuse actually meant something else... All of the stallions in her herd were looking for mates at this age, but Ivy wanted to be free. So living like this, using her excuse to get away from them.. Yet the charm had to be broken when a stallion that wanted every mare to himself, followed her. He was the lead ones son, but he wasn't as nice as his parents and Jake was his name
" Hey, you hidin' here from someone ? " Saying it in a mocking tone, it was clear that he didn't really care.
Looking at him from under her long mane that now covered her face, Ivy could make out his eyes.. " Well.. No not really.. " Taking a step back, she cracked a branch that had fallen and that did not help.. It just made the stallion laugh. " Calm down, Its not like I'll hurt you. " That was not true and everybody in the herd knew so.. There were a lot of rumours in the herd about him, still non reached his father.
" Um.. I .. I ne- " Before she could finish off her sentence, Jake had already started his.
" Do you wanna walk with me ? "
Not wanting him to go mad, Ivy agreed.

The walk went great and Ivy began to like him, so it was easier to talk to him and deny the rumours.

After a couple of months and a year, Ivy turned 3 and both of the DAMS began to act like mates. They were the same age and knew eachother inside and out. Some of the mares in the herd were jelous of her, but Ivy tried ignoring that fact by occupying herself of the idea of Jake and her taking over the lead tomorrow morning..

Yet while waiting for her parents to come back from the river, she could smell and see a big cloud of smoke rising from above the tree's and orange flames could be seen through the spaces between the trees. " FIRE ! " She screamed, making all of the Dam's attention focus on her. She could feel Jake running towards her, his hoof rhythm was unmistakable, but Ivy still ran for the trees to get her parents out of there, but it was too late. Their bright coats lay there, not moving.. With her legs wobbly, Ivy could only feel herself drop on the floor and seeing Jake's running up to her before passing out..

Waking up a couple of hours later, Ivy found herself in a place that she had never seen before.. Even though she just woke up, Ivy felt strong and buzzing with energy. Looking around, she could feel Jake right beside her. " It's all okay... " He mumbled into her ear. But she just got up and glared at him.
" Okay ?! My parents are dead ! "
" Ivy.. You are mad so I won't judge your actions. "
" Judge ?! How dare you ?! " Feeling betrayed, Ivy couldn't bare having his scent around her, then as she was stepping away, she heard Jake mumble. " You did spend all of your time with them.. " Then it all hit her.. He must have started the fire.. But how ?! ..

Feeling her mane being brushed by the wind, anger raged inside of her head, but her ears caught Jake's loud roar. " Invincible. "

So from that day on, Ivy began to call herself Invincable and only the closest of friends know why and what her real name is..
