Day 9 - Ikari - Monkey

Ikari peeked out from beyond the water's surface meekly. She slipped a small smile, noticing the tall castle at the top of the hill. From the bay she could only see so much, but her curious eyes roamed the massive structure with all the wonder of a young child standing at its gates. Granted, she knew that wasn't possible. She ducked back into the water, her eyes trailing down to her finned tail. She could only watch from here, but she'd made the journey all the same. Who wouldn't want to at least see a real life castle? She poked her head up again to steal another glance. Ikari had always wondered about castles. They looked so grand, imposing and... mysterious. She desperately wanted to go inside, but there didn't seem to be a way. With a soft sigh she stared for awhile, humoring thoughts of being a real fairy tale princess.

A loud cry interrupted her thoughts and with a jolt she ducked into the water and hurried into a safer place. She had been foolish to loiter, but... she had made a long journey and it would probably not happen again for a long time. Ikari didn't blame herself for hoping, after all. It was a simple dream, but one that kept her determined.

sara went to earth. she reined from the first order, her father being a sith and her mother being a rebellion-queen. she ran away with the love of her life, carter, in which they had to leave the first order and their home because of the damages they had caused and the damages their families caused. They ran and they ran and they ran. It had probably been years and months that had passed since they left but they were never going to go back. They had kids now, they had a life now. They had accustomed to the life of a normal, earthen kalon and they were willing to give up all they had to keep their now four kids, safe from harms way. And they did. All four kids are thriving with life. Travis is off with his now daughter, Parker and his husband Ajax. Delta is off with her boyfriend Brent. Mikey is off doing whatever and Sophia has her kids as well and fighting crime with Sherlock. Everything is going as they hoped it would.

"Then who's going?" Jasmine demanded fiercely. "If we don't get that herb soon, then there's a potential that this current coughing could turn into a lethal disease. You should know that! You know that very, very well! You trained me, for goodness sake. Get your thoughts straight!" Jasmine snapped.

Ameile recalled the firm retorts Jasmine had made earlier. Jasmine had decided to go hunt for a herb that normally grew on the other side of the island they resided on, yet Ameile had denied her quest. Instead, Ameile offered to go. Jasmine was far too fragile to make the journey, and Ameile wasn't even sure if she would be able to.

A frigid gust of air swept past Ameile, the bitter coldness nipping at her face. Silky sheets of snow were layer across the land. About a week ago there was a raging flurry of snow, its unforgiving nature covering everything in sight in nothing but white. It had cleared little by little, but clumps of nothing but snow would remain. It would take long for the island to recover from winter, like it had every year.

"Winter, oh winter." Ameile muttered, clutching the small leather bag she had brought along to carry the herbs safely back home in. Draped over her head was a thick blue fur hood, and a warm gray scarf hung around her neck. It was the only protection from the cold she was willing to use, and it was working decently... for the parts it was covering. Her legs and her arms were trembling in the cold, longing for heat of any kind.

What seemed like hours past, and Ameile's head was filled with regrets of not bringing more clothing to protect her from the icy temperature. But it didn't matter at this point. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted the black stem and odd pink leaves of the plant she was looking for.

"Success." She murmured softly. It wasn't common for the specific plant to grow around the middle of the island as it was more common at the other end, but Ameile certainly wasn't complaining. She had found the thing she needed.

[ ❧ ] you have been to many a place, both in real time and in the dreams (or nightmares) of others. some were fascinating, others enchanting, and others... were less than welcoming. such is how your life as been since you can remember. there is one world however, one you remember quite clearly...

you remember it like it was just yesterday — the muses singing in the courtyard, drawing in a small crowd around them, and the fairies toiling away in the garden, and the sea nymphs splashing in the palace fountains and nearby lakes. a magical, dreamy feeling hung in the air, and glitter trails showed the path of the mineral faes sneaking around to deliver gemstones from the quarry. many had traveled far and wide to visit the crystal palace hidden deep in the magic forest, to see the lanterns at the end of the festival, and watch the diamond dolphins migrate south for the duration of autumn and winter. the kingdom got much too cold for the tropical-originating creatures in the colder months, so every year, the people of this land held a festival to honor the migration of the dolphins as they headed southward. the festival however, was also to encourage others to spare the beauty of the magic forest, and why it was vital that the magic inside and why the creatures inside and the forest itself were to be preserved and kept from harm. the forest was the life source for the rest of the kingdom, and the gemstones and jewels found deep within the many cave systems of the forest, and even the leaves, bark, and sap of the trees, contributed to the kingdom's longevity.

you had been here many times before (how else would you know all that?), yet you never tired of seeing it. each time, it felt like stepping into something plucked straight from a fairy tale; all the reflective stones and crystals and all sorts of sparkling and glimmering objects shining in the sun's light, and all the different magical creatures roaming the grounds where the festival was held. any creature one could possibly imagine lived inside the forest. truly an enchanting place, and that was part of the reason this is one of your favorite worlds to visit.

finding a comfortable place to sit — a rather innocent-looking small bench off to the side and away from everyone else — you sip on the tea you had been given earlier when you arrived, and watch the festivities quietly. you never feel the need to participate, just watching is enough, but perhaps one day, you will join them, just once.

Being a prince, travelling is not too uncommon. Although his family prefers to stay inside the castle walls, they do occasionally travel to other kingdoms to speak about other bonds with neighboring kingdoms and relationships with their partners. One of Sera’s most memorable trips was a visit to a kingdom far south of his own on an important business meeting he accompanied his two older brothers on. The kingdom was far different from his own, it was a much warmer setting, surrounded by golden sands of the nearby desert and intricately decorated with warm colors and endless golden details. The people there, he remembered, were beautiful. Particularly, the royal family had dark skin and various colors of braided blonde and light brown hair. He remembers a conversation with the princess of the land about their hair routines and she to this day was one of the kindest royals he’s ever had the honor of speaking with. The skies their seemed so much more blue, and the plant life although sparse was so much more exotic and interesting looking. The only downside he remembered vividly was the unforgiving weather and temperatures, during the day it was too hot for his usual royal get up and during the night it was overwhelmingly cold. Although he couldn't understand how the people there comfortably lived and could only imagine the heat of summer days, he appreciated the beautiful kingdom for what it was and only hopes one day he’ll be able to return.

Prompt Nine

Checking his ticket for what was probably the hundredth time that day Nathan almost couldn't believe it. After years of savings and preperation he was finally going to begin his adventures! Sitting in the airport it felt like his heart would beat out of his chest from the excitement, his knee bouncing unable to remain completely still.
He had already called his parents that morning. They had sounded so proud of their son, and although they watched him face dangers since he was just a kit they still worried. Just a bit. Honestly when your kid goes on about how he's going to find the biggest crocodile ever discovered and document it himself how can you not?
Suddenly the intercom announced the boarding of his flight and Nathan almost tripped over his backpack in his rush. When seated he made sure to grab a window seat for when they took off he wanted to see the land from above.
"Australia, Egypt, India- World here I come!"

Day 9🌸

Jackson had gone on a trip with his friends P.D, Jessie, and Baxter. They had gone a trip to take pictures and explore the world. They went to one of the places most unexplored to adventure together. What they found was amazing.

Baxter took marvelous pictures of it, the great artifact. They marveled in it’s mesmerizing color, the shiny blue, silver, white and gold that seemed to make the cave glow. Although they had discovered many other things on their adventure, and they had one of the best times of their life there. Scuba diving, underwater caves, everything you could think of that was too beautiful, too gorgeous to describe. Anything you could think of that was extremely beautiful to your imagination.

Prompt 9 - Remus

xxxThe first time Remus visited his grandparents down in the states, he had only be six years old. He didn't remember much about the trip, but he did remember that he had a lot of fun. They'd gone in summer during his school break, so the weather was more or less sunny. His favorite part of the trip had been visiting a giant lake.
xxxAll packed into one car, they drove for about an hour before reaching the huge body of water. The first activity that his grandparents insisted he do there was going fishing. It had been Remus' first attempt at it, and he'd only caught a small trout, but the fact that he caught anything was a surprise to himself. He remembers that his mom had gotten lucky, and managed to hook a decent sized bass. They had released all the fish they caught though. Catch and release was the only type of fishing his grandparents did.
xxxAfter fishing, Remus was finally able to do what he'd been waiting to do the entire time, go swimming. As soon as everyone had moved to the swimmer-friendly part of the beach, he took off toward the water. That was his first mistake. The water was way colder than he had expected. His second mistake was wading out too far where he could no longer touch the ground. To be fair, it wasn't his fault since there was a very sudden drop off he wasn't aware of, but that didn't stop him from panicking when he realized where he was. Remus couldn't remember who had to wade out and save him, but who saved him didn't matter to him as much as the fact that he was saved at all.
xxxAfter that whole ordeal, everyone decided that it was best that they had a quick lunch on the beach and went home. The rest of the trip was just as eventful, with a visit to the zoo, and even a fair. All in all Remus' first visit to see his grandparents was one of his favorites.
