personality;As much as Alec would love to be known as a kind and generous Kalon, he is quite vain.
Alec was born in Russia, then came to America on a boat as instructed by his mother. When Alec arrived in New York, he was awestruck by America. The towering buildings, amazing scenery, but most of all: The people. There were fashion-designers, cooks, bakers, writers, models, and everything in between. There were so many people. Alec wandered the streets, pausing to look at more buildings, or more people when he was stopped by a young man. Alec turned around, and the man introduced himself He then proceeded to say, "I am the greatest designer in America, but you are the most handsome creature I have ever seen."
Alec was shocked. Back then he had been a shy, timid Kalon, always choosing the library over a club. But this... Was it true? The man proceeded to tell everyone in the fashion business about Alec, and his beauty spread like wildfire. That was when Alec declared it to be true, and to embrace his newfound fame. He became bold, and proud. He was very vain at times, preferring to show off and talk about himself than to listen to others. He seemed to never shut up, running his mouth about how beautiful he was. The only problem about that, was, everyone agreed. He really was the most handsome Kalon they had ever seen. And when everyone agreed, it fueled his inner ego. He became even more boasty, proclaiming his beauty to anyone on the streets. But not many like that. In fact, almost nobody likes a show-off. Alec began to realize this. He began to notice that people were giving him bored glances when he started going on another long rant about how he was the best, and that confused Alec. Didn't people still think he was beautiful?
In fact, they did. But they thought that his voice wasn't so beautiful after you had been listening to it for over an hour, and there wasn't a single talk of mentioning you.
Alec understood this. So, instead of heating up, h cooled down. Before talking about himself, he would ask about others. How was their day going? How were their kids?
And it began to pay off.
There was more talk in Alec's conversations, more smiling, more liveliness. So Alec became less vain. He was more considerate,
kind, and supportive. He became a great listener. But every once and a while...
"Oh! You do not know me? Well, according to anyone, I am the most beautiful creature on..."
