One of Luna's ordeals was her first battle. She'd followed her orders as well as she could, but not having trained enough, she was terrified of losing. She'd memorized everything she'd read in the books in her trainer's house, and knew that her trainer believed in her, but even doing the moves she was demanded to, she found herself losing strength quickly.
"Luna, use Tail Whip!"
Luna tried, but tripped over her front paws.
"Luna, use Growl!"
It was not effective.
"Luna... uh... use..."
"Use what?" she muttered, panting from exertion from her fighting the large Grimer in front of her, ooze and muck dripping down its slimy body.
Finally, her trainer yelled out, "Luna, use headbutt!"
She tried, but her head sunk into the Grimer's body. She pulled it out and smelled a foul stench, recoiling away from the creature.
Her trainer was biting her fingernails. "Um... uh... Luna, use... Reflect?"
It worked. The Grimer shot out a spew of slime, which bounced off of Luna's shield and onto itself. It grumbled miserably.
Luna smiled. "Maybe this isn't so bad," she murmured.
"Luna, use Pay Day."
Luna was confused. "Use... what? I've never even heard of that move!"
The trainer's eyes widened. "Oh no. She's not at a high enough level..."
They were both helpless as the Grimer washed its way over to them, getting closer and closer and closer to Luna with a gurgling gulp every few seconds -
"Luna, Run!"
She did as requested, turned tail, and bolted out of there. Once safely away from the battle, her sides heaving, she looked at her trainer, her eyes downcast. "I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't know what you were talking about with that last command."
"It's okay," she said, rubbing her eevee's head gently. "You're all good. We just need to practice more. For your first battle, that wasn't too bad. Now c'mon. Let's get you home and have you rest for a bit. You'll need your energy for future battles."

Liev is a kleptomaniac, meaning he always steals things and can't really help the impulse to pilfer and filch. Liev is pretty mellow by nature, but he does like one thing about himself: his looks. He wouldn't dream of telling others this, but he loves how he looks. His beautiful green leaf-like tail, his awesome crinkled ears, his gorgeous tuft of dark green hair, the grey accents that swoop down his back, the brilliant green teardrop leaflet markings underneath his eyes, and the beautiful markings running up his back legs in forest green that resemble leaves and twigs. Liev loves his eyes, as well - they're unique and unlike any others he's ever seen. With the perfect blend between pale creams, brilliant chartreuse, deep greens, and shades of grey, Liev loves his looks and thinks of himself as quite a catch of a leafeon. Being an introvert, he doesn't tend to talk much, but even if he did, he still wouldn't admit his good looks - he thinks of himself as better than those who would talk themselves up.
