However, they represent more than his fondness to the character. Each charm represents a trait from the hero he wishes he had, its a constant reminder of who he strives to be.

Spiderman; Intelligence, with the ability to remain humorous.
Robin; Reliability and a cunning mind.
Captain America; A mind untainted and a heart of justice.
Ironfist; A strong body, but an equally strong mind and soul.
Batman; Endurance and dedication.
Superman; Selflessness and stylish hair.
Teen Loki; The willingness to sacrifice to fix the wrong doings of the past.

The 'WOW' on the front of his collar is supposed to be something from a comic like 'pow'. But its also his fondness for RPG games such as World Of Warcraft (his favorite is D&D).

The fur along the trim of his collar serves the purpose. Mallow is a very nervous, shy little dork. The fur calms him down and comforts him. It helps keep him from panicking or stuttering; he already feels nervous about talking due to his lisp.

Beck's collar may be simple, but every part of it holds meaning to him. He prefers simple leather to any other material, because it never wears out, but shows its age, and, to him, becomes more beautiful with time. The golden parts remind him to always do his best, and, as his father would always say, go for gold.

The first charm that was added to his collar was his nameplate. As a child, his favorite shape was always the triangle. Now, as a college student studying engineering, the triangle holds even more significance. The triangle is the most study shape, the base that bridge frames and stools alike are build upon. The triangle is Beck's foundation.

The second charm, on the left, was given to him by his father. It's called the Bent, and it's the symbol of the engineering honor society that his father was part of during his college days, Tau Beta Pi. Beck never wanted to go into engineering as a child, but after taking physics in high school, he found that it was what he wanted to do. On being accepted into college as an engineering student, his father gave him his - "as a lone," he said- until Beck had earned his own.

The final part of the collar is a built in camera. Beck was always very close to his maternal grandmother, and his senior year in high school, he found out that she was diagnosed with the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Since Beck had always defined himself based on his intellect, nothing scares him more than losing his memory. The camera takes stills once a minute, and is connected to a battery pack with an SD slot in the back. Once a week, he reviews the stills taken, keeping the ones with the most meaning to him. In this way, he tries to stave off one of his worst fears.
