Alice was stunned. She had been here before and found the crystal that grants her magic powers, but that was long ago so it was a refreshing sight. The Kalon was so amazed from the sight, she could hardly take her eyes off of the shining crystals to pay attention to the path ahead of her. Maddox had been through these places many times before, so it was nothing new to him but it was still an enjoyable experience, though he was focused on the task at hand. Finn was absolutely dazzled by the sight of so many crystals at once. He though it was a huge improvement from the hot hot lava filled areas they had just been in.

Starring: The Squad™
Archie stared in awe at the glittering crystals that covered the cave they were travelling through. They appeared to glow with a faint light, obscuring bits of darkness and providing a path to the group. The colorful shards that sat in the cave reminded Archie of stars. They provided balls of light and glimmered slightly in the darkness. Archie bent down and scooped up a couple of crystals, slipping them into his bag. The cold ground and shiny crystals reminded Archie of a foreign planet, mysterious and feeling unreal. Archie stopped for a minute and smiled. He sat down to look at his surroundings. "Archie, what are you doing?" Reayan asked, stopping beside him.

"I..." Archie began to spoke, but he paused. He was barely able to collect the words for what he was feeling. That cave reminded him of somewhere, but he couldn't figure it out. Taika was obviously feeling it too, because she could be seen lying on the ground examining everything. "Taika..." Archie finally spoke after sitting for a few minutes. "Does this place... remind you of somewhere?"

"Yeah." Taika muttered a response, still lying in her spot. "I want to go back there..." Taika whispered. Reayan glanced at the two of them with confusion. "Go back where?" Reayan questioned. "The lavalands? There's no way I'm going back there." she laughed.
"Home." Archie suddenly said, finally remembering what this place reminded him of. "This place... it's so similar to some of the planets I visit in my job. It reminds me so much of my normal life. For Taika..." Archie trailed off when he caught a glimpse of Taika with tears streaming down her face.

"Home... I wanna g-go home..." she choked out through sobs. Archie and Reayan quickly ran over to comfort her. "Taika! It's okay.
We're here for you. This trip is almost over, we just have to find the last crystal." Reayan said, hugging Taika. "It's okay." she whispered.
Archie dug around in his bag, pulling out a small bottle, a string, and some of the crystals he picked up earlier. He put the crystals into the bottle, and he attached the bottle to the string. He set the newly made necklace next to Taika. "I know it's not really from there, but consider it a piece of home." he said. Taika put the necklace around her neck.

"T-thank you..." Taika sniffed. Archie reached over and wiped away some of her tears before giving her a hug. "I know it's hard being away from home for such a long time, but we're here for you." Archie said. They finished up their hug and Taika wiped away the rest of her tears with her paw. "Thank you for comforting me, you two... I can't believe I just cried in front of you guys." Taika said,
laughing slightly. The three kalons continued on their way through the dark cave.

Day Thirteen is now over! Day Fourteen is up!

I apologize for the delay in judging. It's been very busy at home in my personal life. I will have some of the results up later tonight, instead of holding them for next rollover.

I'm still working on updating the bank.

How does your hero do at fishing?

Sirkus’ stomach growled. He placed a hand over it, and gently rubbed it, hoping it would ease his hunger somehow. Sirkus had just run out of his homemade meals that day. Darn. They were really, good too. Ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato,
mayo and pickles.... mmmm.... delicious. His mouth watered at the thought of his sandwiches. He sighed, and glanced over at Shirley who was laying on the ground, staring up. She didn't appear to be asleep. He scooted over to her, and nudged her shoulder.

"Shirley, you awake? I’m hungry…” he complained. Shirley looked over at him, and sighed.

“I’m awake, I’m awake. Now that you mention it, I’m hungry, too. What should we eat, though?”

Sirkus shrugged. “All I know, is that I want to eat something soon or I’m going to start going crazy.”

Shirley groaned as she got up, wiping the dirt off her back and stretching. “Well, I’m sure there’s some fish in these waters ‘round here.” She suggested. “If we could make a fishing pole, we could get some fish and cook it.”

“Don’t worry, I have a fishing pole!” Sirkus exclaimed, running over to his bag and digging in it, triumphantly holding up a fishing pole.

“You mean to tell me, you had that the whole time?” Shirley blandly said.

“Yup. I didn’t think it would be useful, or just forgot about it. Hehe… heh..” He nervously laughed as Shirley glared at him.

“We could’ve used that in the forest when we were hungry, you dingus!” Shirley yelled. “Oh, my god.”

“Sorry…” he mumbled. “An-Anyways, we should probably go fishing now, yeah?”

“Yeah.” Shirley said curtly.


As soon as the two of them reached a gleaming river, they placed a worm on the hook and placed it into the water, then waited…. And waited… and waited.

Nothing bit the line. Sirkus groaned.

“Uuuggh! How long does it take for some stupid fis-” He was cut off, his attention directed to the fishing pole that was twitching. “Oh! Shirley! We got something!” Sirkus called out to her.

Rushing over, Shirley grabbed the pole. “I’m gonna reel it in!”

The struggle for the fish was intense, they for sure caught a big one. After an agonizing minute, Shirley reeled in a fish!

……..

It was small.. About two inches long.

Shirley sighed and slumped down in defeat, placing the flopping fish onto the ground beside her.

“Hey, Shirley… I just remembered something that nice Kalon we met in that door place said. The fish here are extremely big, but they turn really small out of water as a defense mechanism! We need to put some water over it while it cooks, so it’ll be really big!” Sirkus explained.

“Oh, Sirkus, thank you so much for telling me that!” Shirley grabbed the fish, and ran off to cook it.

Once she finished cooking it, the fish was roughly 50 pounds! The two of them had a feast like kings that day, with leftovers too!

surprisingly shen still had an abundance of food. although he realized he hadn't really eaten that must in general as he awlways got so,, nervous and felt horrid and the though of just eaten would make him want/wish to throw up already. although for him, pyper and mason the amount of food was so little and would only last maybe 2-3 days at most 4 but at the rate that mason and pyper were eating it would hardly even last a day or two. He frowned and turned to pyper and shen "uh um, m-maybe we should uh stop and try to catch some fish as uh our c-current supply of f-food wont last very long and then we will starve and probably wont be able to get anything to eat and die and that uh wont be very good because then no one will find our-" pyper cut him off from rsnting any longer and smiled "sure! me and mason will go fish. how about you just stay there alright?" shen nodded and watched as mason and pyper fished.

by the end of the day they could hardly carry the amount of fish they had caught.

Cᴀsᴛ ᴀ ʟɪɴᴇ!

Looking at his near-empty bag of provisions, Minnow sighed uneasily. He'd never learned the proper way to hunt, or fish, or cultivate crops... Not that he'd be able to do the latter instantaneously, but the point remains. He had no idea what to do in this situation. But with the crystal pools all around, it was becoming obvious to him what the best way of gathering food this far from town would be. He did have all the necessary things to make a makeshift fishing pole, even if it wasn't as good of quality as available in a store.

Casting the line with all his strength, the hook at the end of the line flew far across the pond, sinking into the depths hidden to him. After a few minutes of waiting, Minnow was about to give up, when he felt a tug at the end of his line. He stepped backwards, pulling the stick as far as he could, unable to reel it in like a usual fishing pole could. When he finally pulling up whatever thing had caught on his line, he yelled excitedly. His fishing was a success; he caught a small fish! It was certainly no big achievement, and wouldn't make a large meal, but food was food.
