in honor of our ( james. and i ) friendiversary today, we've decided to release a cutie partner competition based around, what?? BEST FRIENDS FOREVER !!

we know there are some people who don't really like partner comps, but there are a lot who do and honestly we really couldn't pass up this opportunity. we apologise beforehand for anyone we upset, but you can't please everyone!

as you can probably tell, these little guys are based off of Todd and Copper from 'The Fox and the Hound'! this will be a partner comp with a required prompt. we'll be giving you two to choose from, and the rest is up to you! you can both do the same prompt or one of you can do one prompt and the other person can do the second prompt. we'd like to leave that choice up to you, but personally i'd like to see the character development within the two prompts instead of just one! ultimately, the decision is up to you guys!

Tell a happy story revolving around their friendship. This can be anything, really. You can tell me how it started, their favourite memory together, something they enjoy doing together... Tell me whatever you'd like as long as it's positive. You have an unlimited amount of words to do so!

Tell me about a rough patch the two have had in their friendship. How did they resolve it? Did it make them stronger or is there a seed of doubt planted after the incident? Tell me whatever you'd like, as long as it has to do with a bump in their friendship. You have an unlimited amount of words to do so!

each person can only choose one prompt, but like we said, if you'd like to, the both of you can do the same prompt. they do have to be different stories though, if you plan to take that route. as for the rest of the contest, there are two extras. these can either be writing, art, or both! there's no word limit.

Our favorite memory together? Heck, we have lots of favorite memories. One of the many that was my personal favorite was when we spent the night in a haunted house! Now that was crazy, it was so active there! I want to go back, but I'm not sure about him. I can tell you the story, but don't tell him I told you that he was scared.
One day, Felix and Xýlo were bored, and they decided to take a walk in the woods. During their walk, Xýlo noticed a large abandoned house.
"Hey, Felix," he said, nudging the fox-like viscet, "wanna adventure an abandoned building?"
"Yea, bro! Sounds like a blast!" Felix replied with a laugh.
"Are you brave enough to handle it?"
"Well duh. Let's go!" He laughed and ran toward the building, while Xýlo smiled and followed close behind.

As they entered the building, the floorboards creaked loudly, since it was rotting. The door slowly closed them in, by itself, and they stood there in the dark. Xýlo smiled and went to adventure, with Felix close behind, looking around.
"It stinks in here." He stated. Xýlo sniffed the air and coughed, covering his nose with his paw,
"Mold." He snorted, but still wandered around the building.

Every shadow seemed to move, like it was something watching them. Though nothing was even there. The sun was falling and the moon was rising, while paranoia kicked in with the two of them.
"It's getting kind of creepy in here, bro. Felix whispered.
"Yea, but I don't want to miss out on a cool adventure like this!" Xýlo replied.

Suddenly, a loud thud erupted from the room next to them, and then there were quiet footsteps.
"Bro, let's go, it's getting dark. Felix whispered.
"Agreed." Xýlo said. Another thud sounded, this time closer, as Felix bolted out of the house. Xýlo was right behind him, and there were rocks being thrown at them, too.

Honestly my favorite memory, though. There's more to it, but hey! I want to hang out with my bro! Lesson learned, though; do NOT stay in an abandoned building overnight, especially if it's haunted!

Personality
Very lovable, hates letting people bring his mood down. Xýlo absolutely loves hanging out with Felix, as they are best friends! They do everything together, and Xýlo is always there if Felix needs someone to talk to. He loves to make people happy, no matter the situation! Their friendship is basically unbreakable, as their bond is too strong to break. Xýlo takes care of Felix because of his sister. He even forgave him for sneaking into his house, and Xýlo calls him a 'sly fox' because of it.

Xýlo is also brave, and is willing to do whatever to help out Felix. He loves to help, either way, though. He isn't rude, but he's actually pretty chill about mostly everything, unless it comes to someone bullying a friend of his. If someone is rude to him or Felix, he will attack whoever it is that decided it'd be a good thing to hurt them, and won't stop until they apologize. He is very protective and willing to defend his family, Felix, or any one that is getting bullied, no matter what.
