"Tonight, we gather beneath the red moon to bestow this little kit with their beautiful power." The black molly cried out. She stood atop a large black gray stone, her deep blue eyes fixated on the swaying grass before her. In the center of the grass was a patch of dirt, where the grass had stopped growing - a patch where the moonlight glowed much brighter than the surrounding grass. A kit lay within a moss bed crafted for them in the center, decorated by colorful feathers and jagged stones to protect the kit within. Beside the kit stood a mother and father, gazing down upon their kit proudly; this was a tradition that as widely celebrated, a day that would be forever marked in history.
"From the stars above and the lingering spirits below, we gather here today to ask a favor of you. A new blood has entered the ranks of our beautiful clan, and with our prying eyes, we wish for you to bestow the blessing of the stars upon them." A silence followed, then the wind shifted. Leaves flew, grass rustled, and the sleeping kit let out a soft groan of disapproval from the sounds. They rolled onto their back, opening their eyes slowly.
And then darkness. Several stars seemingly dropped out of the sky, encircling the kit. A soft hum radiated from each of the stars, a starry silhouette materializing before the kit. They were a small silhouette, but a bright one. Another moment slipped away, and then a speech begun.
"The parents of this kit are strong and secretive," the starry figure began. "They are some of the strongest warriors blessed upon your ranks. As such, their cub's power will reflect this." The starry figure turned towards the kit, a soft yellow glow emitting from their paws. "Corbin, on this eclipse, we bestow upon you the power of shadow summoning. With this power, you will be capable of summoning a shadow to fight for you. This is a projection of your aura, your soul. The more emotion you feel, the stronger it will grow."
The starry silhouette then dispersed, a black glow outlined by white illuminating from Corbin.
