what does red signify to him?....

▸ he was born with very poor eyesight and could only see shades of black and white.
because of this he didn't get to enjoy the beautiful swathes of colour in a sunrise/sunset,
the brilliance of the sun on clear days, that kind of thing. it wasn't until he was a newly
made warrior that there was a breakthrough in his inability to see in colour when he
saw the vivid colour of a red rose like a splash of colour against the dull shaded vision
he had. it was the first colour he had ever been able to see.

Sandpool whimpered, as she curled further around herself as she hid under thick brambles. Her fur stood on end at the sound of pawsteps heading towards her. Her mind started to whirl, had the ally cats found her? She pushed herself further down into the thicket feeling the thorns claw at her pelt. The paws stopped right in front of her. Her blue eyes grew wide at the shadow that appeared in front of her only to have a rush of relief run through her at the sight of the hazel green eyes. "Featherwave!" She breathed. She was finally safe.
