Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

about me, I make these right after I post a new one, so I haven't
been rushing to make these. I do them when I have lots of spare time.

A lovely member from the community suggested that I could do a
carnival based kalon. I remembered the one naumachy did (so
gorgeous) and her design was amazing. But, I wanted to make this
one unique, and so this carnival takes place at night. A dark but
glowing display that offers fun and excitement for everyone!

This comp is open to everyone!

For part of this comp, I would like to see some shine designs
for this lovely kalon! I will be mainly judging on this aspect, but
I would also like to see some personality also. Personality that can
'grow' is also a key factor in making your character/oc come alive.
So please give it a personality that you know you will keep.

You may commission an artist to design your shine, but the main
concept/design must be from you! Prettying up is allowed, and I will
provide 1 optional extra (100 words or 1 art piece).

Q & A

Q: Can I provide more than one shine design in my entry?
A: I would appreciate that you only submit one design, it makes it a
lot easier to judge, and in the end, you would still have to choose one
shine that would become part of the kalon's design.

Q: Should I draw my shine design on the transparent ref, or
have I on a separate template?
A: This mostly depends on how complicated your shine design will
be. If it is simpler, then drawing it on the transparent ref is just fine.
If your design is more complicated, feel free to draw it on a separate
file/paper. You are welcome to drawing your shine on both templates
if needed.

Q: Can I give a small (10-20) word explanation on what the design,
represents?
A: Yes.

Personality||Naomi is quite nitpicky and particular, often correcting and cleaning. She enjoys cross stitching, sewing and sometimes creating thoughtful cards and letters for loved ones. Being a bit of a romantic these often contain poetry and kind words. She works at a hospital as a nurses aid, particularly enjoying working with children and soon to be mothers. It makes her happy to see how she can help others and do more then just change their day for the better. Often she has small candies residing close by, in pockets and bowls, caramel's being a favourite of hers, small sweet things always bringing her joy. She desires more out of life but doesn't know what will do it for her, so she hopes she will find a kalon to show her.

You'd think a bird with a broken wing can't fly. It can't get to higher ground to escape
predators, and this is true. But let's say the bird wasn't a one trick pony. This bird
could do other things, despite the pull back of a broken wing. Not all injuries have
to put you down, the same with Felicity.

Her determination is just what makes her the 'King of the Hill', or 'Queen of the Carnival' I
should say. With strongwillingness, Felicity has managed to hold onto all of the records
and high scores at the carnvial. Every year when it comes around, Felicity will always
be there to watch all of her scores, occassionally beating them herself. After a long
day, Felicity loves to just take a few minutes to enjoy the things in her life as she rides
the Carousel. At night, the carnival is a beautiful sight to see as you spin around and
around, the Carousel symbolizing the circle of life in a way, how no matter what
happens it will keep on going around and around until all of a sudden it stops, telling
Felicity to make the most of her life. So she does.

this shine, represents lucinda's job as a healer.
it shows thyme and sage, both of which are used
to help heal any pains. specifically healing mental
pains such as headaches and more.

Lucinda is very go with the flow type of deal, usually preferring to stay on the sidelines when it came to fights and always acting as the middle ground, trying to see from both perspectives. although she has a hard time deciding anything, and often forgets of what she wants before she makes a final decision. she tends to act childish at times, and constantly feels guilty because of it. she constantly feels the need to be better for others, and to try and change her ways. she also tends to stay fairly isolated as she won't have to try an pretend, making excuses as "oh well some people ordered some spell jars today" or anything else relating to her job as to get out of any sticky social situations.
