Name: Kimba (an Australian Aboriginal name meaning Bush Fire)
Nicknames: Kim or Kimi
Gender: Female
Tail Accessory: (I'll post an image when it's done!)
Kim wears a brown leather cord around her tail, but this band is nothing special, apart from the colour brown bringing stability. It's what hangs
off the cord that is special! Attached to the cord are four feathers in different colours, two amethyst gemstones, and two lapis lazuli gemstones. Kim is a healer, so she made her accessory to keep herself, and her patients, calm. Lapis Lazuli is a gemstone that means Wisdom and Truth, so Kimba uses it as something she believes in to help her in the healing process, to give her wisdom. The Amethyst is well known for it's powers to soothe the mind and keep you calm. In a medical emergency, this is exactly what Kimi needs. She says the Amethyst is a gem that keeps her calm, to that she can save her patients with ease. Considering Kimi is a calm Viscet anyway, she doesn't really need this gem. The feathers colours have meanings too. Blue for soothing and calming, Purple for sensitivity, White for purity and Silver for harmony. Every feather and gem on her tail holds a meaning to Kimba.
The reason she wears the cord is not just because of the significance that the gemstones and feathers hold, but the history it holds, about herself and her past. Kim was given the band by her friend Keita, a girl from the Aboriginal Tribe she used to come from. In each tribe there is a traditional band that each member has to wear, most of them are just plain with different colour markings. Only the healers bands were decorated with other things, feathers and gems. Keita gave Kimi the band when she left the tribe, and Keita had gained the band from her mother, when she passed away. Keita's mother was the greatest healer the tribe had ever had, and Kim was the first Viscet so Keita gave it to her. Kim wears the band for that reason to, to remind her of home.

Just an Australian Gal.(Written from Kimi's point of view)
Thud. Thud. Thud. A beat struck out as men, women and children danced and twirled around a blazing fire, as I sat and kept the beat by swishing my tail. The man wore hides, as did the women and kids, each of them wearing swirling white paints, and not much else. A group of men sat by the edge of the blaze, playing ancient tunes I had heard since I was even smaller. One was using a set if drums, one of the elders was calling out a prayer mixed within a song, and two others were playing the didgeridoo. Viscets like me are not supposed to howl, but I can sometimes. Tonight was one of the nights where I couldn't, my howl wavering. Ooops... one of the children, Keita, laughed and came over. She picked me up, gave me a hug, and took me over to the blaze. She danced with me in her arms around and around till I felt dizzy, but I wagged my tail all the same as Keita laughed.
Later on I sat next to Keita and her little brother as the elder stood before the children. One of the children behind me pulled my tail and I yelped.
"Shhhh! Pup, shhhh!" said Keita, so I turned my back and began to grumble. Tonight was important, it was my naming ceremony, but to be honest, 'Pup' suited me just fine. I didn't realize how important a name was to the Australian Aboriginal tribe, but I was about to find out.
"We are here today to welcome another little member of our tribe into the ranks. This young Viscet who we found, barely a hour old, in the remnants of a den, four years ago today. Her den had been burnt in a Bush Fire. Her parents missing"
Whenever this story was told I began to whimper, of course I whimpered! My home had gone, my parents too. Parents I never knew. If Keita told me to...
"Pup! Be quiet!"
I growled.
"Tonight, on her fourth birthday, we are going to give this young Viscet a name" said the elder, glaring and silencing my growl, "This young Viscet, known to us at this moment as 'Pup' is going to grow up."
I stood next to the elder now, as he took out a bowl of white paint, and drew on my head. From the feeling and the shape of what he was drawing, I guessed it was a bird... or a half sun. I wanted to bounce around, I could feel the children's excitement rubbing off on me.
"Pup. From this moment onwards, you will be known as Kimba. Kimba is an ancient name, used only for the brave and the survivors. For the name Kimba means Bush Fire, the very thing you survived, and a name only used for the greatest. And you, Kimba, are the first Viscet in our tribe."
The children swooped and I howled, properly this time. I was Kimba, the Bush Fire. And I was an Australian Aboriginal Gal, nothing less, nothing more!
--- 13 years later ---
I stood at the edge of the long grass, looking back at the tribe that had given me a home for these past 17 years. It was hard to leave, but it was right as well. I wanted to explore places outside of the territory, to run, be free, and to leave Australia. I would return, I promised I would. But I had a plane to get on, and hide away on too. I would never get to explore the world that I lived on properly if I stayed here, tied to a metaphorical post. I looked over my right shoulder one last time, then I left the territory.
"Wait! Kimi! Wait!!"
I turned and saw Kieta, no longer the six year old girl who held me in her arms and danced around a fire with me, but a nineteen year old tribes girl with feathers in her hair and a bow in her hand. She bent down and stroked by fur gently, tears in her big brown eyes.
"You'll come back, right? Kimi?"
I nuzzled her had and nodded my head. Tears welled in her eyes and she hugged me.
"I'll miss you, Kimba" she whispered into my fur. Then she took my tail in her hands, and slid a brown leather cord decorated with feathers and gemstones onto it. "This is a medics band" she said. "It was Mama's, but now it's yours. You little medic. Be safe."
Then she released me, and I ran as tears ran through my fur. I was really going to miss Keita.
It was not long before I had found a way to hide on the plane, and now I was in the darkness. I had to be ready to run when the hatch opened, but it was going to be a while. That's what I thought at least. For who knew how long 23 hours was? (I thought it was that long, I heard someone say it.) And where was England? What would it be like. I couldn't wait to see. But I decided to rest, as dreams of Keita flew in and out of my mind as I slept.
Extra 2:
Kimba's friends
Jace
The Prank Master. Relationship with JaceKimi and Jace get on really well! Their personalities are very different, yet they are the same in other ways. Kim loves Jace's personality, how he is able to make anyone laugh! It doesn't matter if you are not at all in a good mood, Jace will soon have you in a laughing fit! Kimi and Jace are a team, they travel from place to place together, along with Skylla, and have a bond for life.
Meeting JaceI had just landed in England when I saw the forest. It was so green, so vibrant and this place was so cold. I missed the heat of my home and the contentment of Keita's hand in my fur. I looked at the deep, lush forest and made up my mind. Vanishing amongst the trees was very hard for me to do, I was so bright and my tail jewellery tickled and brushed against bushes. Every few paces I looked back, only to see trees. And then...
Bam! Someone hit me full in the chest, as a grey and white Viscet stepped back.
"Gotcha", he teased his tongue lolling out with laughter.
"Urm... hi?" I replied. "Can you get off of me?"
""Can you get off of me?" Sure. Where are you from anyway?" He asked smiling as he stepped off of my chest.
"Australia, I am from one of the Aboriginal tribes."
"Wow! Australia! That's cool!"
I couldn't work out if I wanted to ditch this new Viscet, whose name turned out to be Jace. He seemed nice enough, but he liked a joke, but then again so did I. We ended up spending the afternoon together, I told him about Keita, about the tribe and my band on my tail. He told me about his past, the lab and the freedom he now felt. By the end of the day by an unspoken agreement we stayed together. To this day we are traveling companions, friends and the ultimate prank team with our friend Skylla.
Skylla
The Sea BabRelationship with SkyllaSkylla has multiple personality issues, and will sometimes talk to 'Shadow', her monster self. Kimba sometimes finds that hard to understand, but other then that Kimba and Skylla get on like a house of fire, or a house under water. Sure, Sky prefers the sea, and Kimi prefers the land, and sure they disagree sometimes, but the two are like two peas in a pod, and they always stick together, along with Jace.
Meeting SkyllaTo start off with, Jace and I had no idea where we really wanted to go, so we just walked. About three months after we met, me and Jace were walking along the side of a cliff when we heard talking. A smallish green and white Viscet was running along the beach, talking to 'Shadow'. I was curious. Jace was curious. So we walked down to the beach.
"Hi!" I said brightly, padding over to the Viscet.
She stopped in her tracks and snarled at me and Jace. We took two steps back, and sat down.
"I am sorry. I mean, we are sorry" called Jace.
The Viscet, I guessed she was a she, blinked rapidly and spoke to herself. "Shadow, enough!" She then turned to us and smiled shyly. "I am sorry to. My names Skylla, and you have already met Shadow."
"Shadow?"
"The one who snarled at you. You know, the other
me?"
"Right... well I am Jace, and this is Ki-"
"I'M Kimba" I interrupted. "Why are you here all alone?"
We sat in the entrance to Skylla's home, listening to her story. She had two sides to her, the over aggressive monster side she called Shadow, and the shy, quiet side that was truly her. Jace and I shared our story's of labs and white coated scientists, of hot desert sands and a girl named Keita. Skylla listened to it all with wide eyes, and as I spoke, I realized she was lonely.
"You know Sky, we're looking for another traveling companion." I said.
"We are?"
"Yes Jace. Do you want to come with us?"
From that day on, me, Jace and our newest member Sky, travelled and saw the world's oceans and forests. As a team.
McCoy
The Fellow Medic Relationship with McCoyKimi and McCoy have only really met once, so their bond is not as strong as her bond with all her other friends. McCoy seems to always be angry with the world, the complete opposite of Kimi, so that dampens the relationship between them too. However, they are both medics, and both prepared for any situation, so that is what made them friends as such.
Meeting McCoyI walked through the Rocky area with Jace and Skylla right behind me. I needed to get some roots and leaves for healing others, and I could only smell them around here... I thought it was safe. Thought we would be okay. But, I made a mistake. Skylla was behind both of us as we walked along the narrow shelf of rock, and as it only usually does in movies, the shelf began to crumble.
"Run!" I screamed as the shelf behind us turned to dust. "RUN!"
Me and Jace were used to the unexpected happening, so we were faster and made it across. At the last moment Skylla slipped and fell down flat on her face.
"Sky! SKY!" We screamed. Out of no where a blur of blue and black grabbed the unconscious Skylla be the scruff of her neck and pulled her free.
"Thanks for saving Skylla" said Jace.
He grunted.
"Urm... who are you?" I asked.
He grunted. Again.
"Well, we will be going then." Jace picked Sky up, and I hauled her onto his back. We started to leave.
"Wait"
We turned and faced the Viscet.
"Who are you?"
"McCoy. And if you want to save the girl... you are going to need help."
McCoy made some strange, British healing paste for Skylla's injuries, whilst Jace and I created and easier sling to carry her in. We worked in a comfortable silence but it was... Okay. Later on we left McCoy behind, we didn't know anything about him, he knew nothing but our names.
"He was... interesting..." muttered Jace.
I couldn't help it, I burst out laughing. "He was strange, but cool at the same time."
"I guess"
That was the one time I met McCoy, he was strange. But he was my friend, and my fellow medic.
Red
The Bouncy PPSRelationship with RedRed and Kimi get on really really REALLY well! Red is a mischievous and cheeky little Viscling, and Kimba is a calm but prank loving Viscet, so they get along like a house on fire. Kimi and Red met a little while back, and Kimba feels like Red is her little sister.
Meeting RedI was walking with Skylla next to me, Jace up in front. Sky was leaning on my slightly, and limping a little too. Her leg was still injured from her fall on the crumbling ledge, but we continued our journey on her insistence, and we had taken some of the paste McCoy had made that we continued to put on her leg. Jace was mucking around, and as he fell head over heals me and Sky rolled our eyes and laughed. That was, until he said...
"Are you okay?"
We ran over to where a small red Viscling was curled up in the grass with a bleeding paw, whining. She looked like a small baby fox, and I felt my heart go out to her.
"Are you okay?" I asked. "Jace? What did you do?"
"Well, I was running around like a headless chicken, and I kinda, sorta tripped over her."
"Oh sweetie" said Skylla softly. The little Viscling looked up at Skylla and whimpered again. "What's your name sweetie?"
"R-r-r-Red"
"Well, Red, I am Skylla, the doof that tripped over you is Jace, and this," she said, gesturing to me, "is Kimba. She is a medic, so she'll help you out.
I used some of McCoy's paste and some large Australian leaves I had brought with me to bandage up Red's little paw. The whole time Jace apologised and made her laugh, to say sorry. It wasn't long before Red was completely happy talking to me, Skylla and Jace. She was a sweet, excitable Viscling, cute and bubbly. She stayed with us for a week or two, and then she left us. I missed her when she was gone, Red had become almost like a little sister to me. Red was a beloved Viscling, and whenever I see her now and then, it brings back the best memories.
Tiki
The Fellow TravellerRelationship with TikiKimi and Tiki. Not only do their names sound alike, but they are alike too! Tiki and Kimba both have a passion for traveling and adventure, so they get on like a house of fire too! Tiki is a crazy, funny traveling companion from time to time, and when their paths cross, it is the highlight of my time.
Meeting TikiRed had left us a week or so before, Skylla's leg was all healed, and Jace was trying to be more careful. I was getting better at learning British plants. And I was sad that Red had gone. We were walking by the side of a large lake, when we saw her. The Viscet was sitting by the side of the lake, watching the sun set and the reflection in the water ripple and change. We could see tiny little fangs on the side of her face, and she was smiling.
"Shall we go and say hi?" Asked Jace.
"Yeah!" I said excited
"Sure." Said Sky.
So over we went.
Other then McCoy, all the Viscets we had met so far had been bouncy and ever excited to make friends. This Viscet named Tiki was no exception. We mucked around with her, talked about travel and laughed! She was brilliant. We travelled for the next month with Tiki by our side, and we had the best time. Tiki was one of the most fun Viscets I had ever met.
Tiki spent a couple of months showing us everything England had to offer and we planned to meet up again in the future. Tiki is one of our best friends, she is just like us. A traveller. A Viscet. Someone funny of laughter and fun. Traveling with Tiki is one of my favourite memories. We all miss her.
These are the stories of how I made my friends. And these are the stories from my life.
Notes: Tiki and Red belong to Fox, McCoy belongs to TILL ALL ARE ONE. Jace and Skylla are my babs. The coding and art in this form are by me, the coding was done on an iPad, so it might be too long/short. Extra art is refusing to upload, sorry about that. I will pm it to you Dissolve, as I cannot add it to my form atm. Thanks for reading!
