　　Ignis (singular: igni), or canis ignis, are a canine species originally found on the planet of Sayaeira, often described as "overgrown rats" by the prejudiced folk. They aren't very tall, usually growing up to around 50cm (20inch). They make up for their lack of fur with their unique ability to set themselves on fire at will - it doesn't harm them in any way. The coloration of ignis is mostly greyscale, sometimes with a bright, colorful accent, always the same as the colour of their eyes - the same color will also show in their flames and even blood, as well as muscles. I'm seriously considering taking all the lore on a different website or thread since I feel there's a bit too much of it to comfortably fit on the thread.
Also started working on a proper banner. It will be colored in as multiple people's ignis and change each time you refresh the page.
We now have stamps!

I'm almost done with the signs, time to finish that last one and work on other aspects of the thread. I also made this cool box so you can stalk my progress and how long I take. Cool, no?

The archive's up. Kinda. Well, there isn't much to take care of there for now, but it's a thing.

1. DON'T BE A BUTT. TREAT OTHERS AS YOU'D LIKE TO BE TREATED.
   This includes no sob stories, bullying, trolling, whispering behind one's back and so on. A pretty straightforward rule, really, but an important one nonetheless. Any arguments must be taken to PM. If you notice someone being nasty, message me - preferably with proof.
2. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CREATE YOUR OWN IGNI.
   Unless you are, of course, a member of the staff, or own a MYO slot (they're given away in weekly raffles on our Discord server). Ignis are a closed species and I would very much like to keep track of them.
3. DO NOT CLAIM THE DESIGNS AS YOUR OWN.
   You own the character after you adopt it, but the design was still mine to create.
4. DO NOT ALTER THE DESIGN.
   If you don't like what you're seeing - don't try out for the igni in the first place. This does not include scarring, but if you decide to make some changes, please contact a staff member to get them approved.
5. DO NOT SELL IGNIS FOR PROFIT. PLEASE KEEP ANY TRADING/GIFTING CS EXCLUSIVE.
   You got them for free. Come on. That's nasty. If you're in a really tight spot, contact me - we'll figure something out. Additionally, if you ever mention me for credit offsite, my dA username is t-0ra - you can use that instead.
6. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR MORE STAFF MEMBERS.
   At the very least, nor desperately. This is to avoid unnecessary stress, confusion and disappointment on both yours and my side - I'm not planning on hiring mods or an archivist unless the thread becomes too big for me to handle. Ignis are my very personal project and I will gladly carry the burden until then. For now, any artists are likely to be chosen from people I know I can trust and posess a certain skill.

1. YOU MAY ADOPT 2 IGNIS A MONTH.
   This applies to all ignis that require filling a form in order to adopt them. You can try out for as many as you can. This cooldown is considered reset every first day of the month.
2. THERE IS NO LIMIT TO HOW MANY IGNIS YOU CAN OWN.
   
   
3. IGNIS CAN BREED ONCE EVERY X MONTH(S), WHERE X = FIRE CONTROL LEVEL.
   For example, if your igni's FCL is 2, they can breed once every 2 months.

Two accent colors can at times be noticed on ignis with heterochromia.
　　Glowing signs around their eyes mark the maturity of an igni and stabilize their character; before the sign appears they are unpredictable, likely to throw tantrums or snap at their owner (and you might not want to have something that sets itself on fire snap at you) and unable to breed. Ignis with the same sign often have similar, if not the same, personality traits. It is also worth noting that the more signs an igni has on its body, the more control it has over it's fire. Most commonly the sign appears over one or both of the dog's eyes, but there have been a couple cases of exceptionally skilled ignis with additional signs on their tail and/or legs.

UNSIGNED; the chaotic
While signs usually appear on mature ignis, in some cases of neglect they might never develop properly. This leaves an adult igni as unpredictable and impulsive as a pup, and their fire control ability is very limited; they only randomly catch on fire when experiencing strong emotions. With enough patience and care from the new owner, a single, dimmer sign can appear at an older age; these ignis, however, will never be as powerful as most others. Unmarked ignis cannot succesfully breed.

ORKER; the guardian
Ignis under the sign of Orker are often kept as guardian dogs, hence the name. They are extremely loyal to their owner and friends and will fight until the end if something or someone were to put them in danger.

SUNUKT; the adventurer
Those under the sign of Sunukt are amazing travelling companions. If kept at home, they will sometimes wander off for a couple days just to explore the neighbourhood. Old design: x

BOREAS; the viper
