Story:
Crash! Boom! "What was that?!" Fern screeched after hitting her head on her small room in her cave. Just as Fern ran outside to see what all the noise was, she ran into her brother Steam. "Fern! You need to get out of here! Quickly!", Steam yelled, wild fear in his eyes. "Why?!" I asked, getting more and more nervous, trying to get past my brother. Just as I push pass him I see a large oak tree falling, my dad's oak tree. I turn around just in time to see him hugging my mom as he dispersed. "No!" I screamed running towards them, but I was too late. "Why?! Why?!," Im screaming hysterically. "Fern! Listen to me!" My mom said gripping me tightly,"You need to get out of here and find another life source! There are man with axes everywhere! We will protect your ferns, go!" She said before kissing me on the cheek and then running towards the commotion. I just stared after her not believing what was happening. At one point I saw my brother running towards huge men with axes. At another a little girl named Daisy stumbling away before she too, dispersed. Then I ran, I didn't know where or why but I sprinted. As fast as my legs could take me. At one point I stumbled, then I was crawling. I was too far from my life source and needed a new one quick. Just as I was giving up hope I saw a large batch of flowers in a small clearing. I crawled towards them, letting my hand shift through the. All occupied, until I came across one small rose. I let my slowly seep into that flower, feeling new strength. Technically my name was now Rose but it sounded wrong. It felt wrong being attached to this flower. My name was Fern! I lived in a small cave next to my dad's tree! Not in this small clearing! Then I cried. I cried and cried and cried.

Why The Weird Nature Names?:
Fern lives in a world where there are nymphs, centers, and even gods (though she has never seen one). Most nymphs where she lives are named after what they inhabit or what they are. So Fern is a nymph to a small batch of ferns. Sometimes nymphs change life sources but it is very difficult since they have to find an unoccupied plant.
