Here, users may show off their designing talent via drawing Panthers! If staff finds your design style matches well with the lineart, you'll be offered a guest artist position. Guest artists will be able to design Panthers on the main thread for a month, either Adopts or Founders! If, after your time as guest artist, you have shown yourself to be mature, consistent and dependable, you may be offered a position as a full artist.

Panthera designs are based in a semi-realistic Genetics System. Please check our Genetics Guide for the guidelines to making a design, and don't hesitate to look up references of real life animals!

Question--I really want to be an artist but Im the worst at oekaki. Do you think youd have any use for someone who specialized in off-oekaki work? Like someone people could go to for MYOs maybe? Or if you make a discord community, for discord-only perks?? If not, totally understand!

Unfortunately, Panthera is not looking for Off-Oekaki artists at the moment. Panthera is very specifically structured so that all Panthera Characters are posted neatly, in a single unbroken chain, under the main thread, to avoid problems with mis-numbering, and make it very clear what is an Official panther that can be used in our ARPG.

On the main thread, we provide off-oekaki files in various formats for players to create MYOs if they cannot for any reason use Oekaki. However, those players are still required to make a color-in of the main thread, even if it is only to make a cover, so that their MYO can be approved and given a proper ID. I am fine with this as MYOs will only be an occasional thing, however oekaki communities can and have before gotten in trouble for having the majority of their designs be off-oekaki designs posted under a cover. As well, Panthera is still meant to be a majority on-oekaki species, and so we are looking for on-oekaki artists.
