Reina does not view herself well…and wishes she had some more confidence. For starters, her eyes are unusually colored. It’s the first thing others seem to notice, and the thing that seems to drive them away. This does not help her at all, as you can imagine. Secondly, she is terribly a worrier, and she is nervous at times. Thus, she has a hard time keeping herself calm. She also doesn’t always focus well, so that doesn’t help. All those traits feel negative to her, so those cause her to not view herself well, too.

Others see Kailo as a pretentious, know-it-all, but Kailo would beg to differ.

I mean, it is only natural for the most enlightened, most versed, and most well-read Lumenwing to wish to be respected and valued a teeeensy bit more than the average Joe. After all, who else would be better suited to educate and guide the younger Lumens as they mature? As the Feywild Timberland's smartest Lumenwing, Kailo holds a lot of responsibility and power- power that he is bent on ensuring is respected. If anything, Kailo sees himself as one of the most generous Lumenwings in the timberlands, spreading knowledge and enhancing the skills of the younger generation, so that the future of the species remains bright.

He sees himself as patient and eager to pass on his smarts to the Lumenwing youngsters, especially those he deems to have unseen potential. It isn't favoritism, surely; he's merely ensuring that the best of the best have most of his attention.

Glow knows she's pretty and it irritates her. What good are the soft, gold and silver markings on her fur and wings when her prey can spot her before she can even get into a hunting crouch? Sure, she could join the foraging team, but foraging is boring.
Even more frustratingly, people. keep. complimenting her! And she can't just bite their faces off because she was taught to be polite and grateful. So while she seethes inwardly, she forces a polite smile for every, 'Oh, Glow, your fur is so lovely today,' 'could you teach me how to get that particular sheen?', and worst of all: 'you're looking so radiant this evening, Glow!'
She has, gotten very good at hiding her real emotions. She's pretty sure she's the only one who knows how much she hates people commenting on and complimenting her fur.
Because of this, she often thinks of herself as being alone, even amidst her bustling colony. Sure, people are always offering friendly greetings, but she doesn't think they see much past her coat. Knowing this makes it hard for her to talk to them and she tends to be on her own alot. Maybe this means the others think she's unsociable, but oh well. At least if she's on her own she can't mess up someone else's hunt...
