Answer: I like Haiku comps! Themed or not, one stanza or two, they're always fun to put together and short enough that most people can do a quick read if in pinch for time! Love seeing a lot of writing, but the ability to also put something together and relay something meaningful to themselves for the competition in something small is good, too!

Answer: I like character development comps (name + meaning, personality, short story, etc.), but only when there are one or more runner ups for those who put effort into their submissions. Its really frustrating to put effort into a competition knowing there can only be one winner and you're not likely to be it. At least if I know I'm going to win an adopt, I don't feel like the character idea goes to waste.
And I feel like this way, the person who's piece most spoke to the creator still gets the 'best' prize, because they win the adopt they tried out for. ^^
