Renowned for their intelligence, agility, and strong work ethic, these dogs are raditionally employed as herders due to their natural instinct to guide and control livestock. In addition to their herding abilities, they are also capable of serving as effective livestock guardians, displaying a strong protective nature and unwavering loyalty. With proper training, they excel in obedience, agility, and a range of working tasks.

Physically, the breed is characterized by its distinctive short, curly coat and upright, pointed ears that contribute to an alert and expressive appearance. Their medium-sized, athletic build allows them to navigate various terrains with ease, and their high energy levels require regular mental and physical stimulation. These dogs thrive in environments where they are given meaningful tasks and consistent guidance.
