Item: the item Oakland takes with him is a magical secure locked box to store these gems in. The box cannot be opened by anyone who intends to steal the gems, or anything else, from within it. It can only be opened and things can only be removed by Oakland himself.

Quest: Pen quest is to find a water and food for his herd. A drought has devastated where they live, he leaves his second in charge with what little they have left and the almost completely dried up riverbed. He sets out into the hot wastelands in search of his herds survival.
Item: He brings along with him a stone. A simple stone, he uses it to drag marks across the cracked earth, dying trees and other stones. He is marking his way back home, so he won't ever become lost or forget the way back to those counting on him.

Dave is on a quest to find the one. The only! The infamous! Golden Carrot. Legend has it that it was owned by the beloved equine community until one disastrous day ... *dramatic sobs* STOLEN! By the mighty Rabbit Clan! It was known that these rabbits envied the horses for their ... talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, breathtaking, spectacular, never the same, absolutely unique *loud gasp* golden carrot. And no one ever thought they'd be able to get their hands on it. Well, now everyone knows better, and DAVE, the magical carrot wizard! ... is the self-proclaimed hero to bring it back! Farewell, mighty adventurer, may the carrot be with you.

Item:

The only Item Dave would need on his venerable Quest would be his well served Spellbook, helping him with any situation. Bound in an enchanted apron and smelling of garlic and burnt sugar, this chubby little cookbook grumbles when touched. Its cover is crispy pancake (magically preserved) and crunches faintly when opened.
The pages are stained with ink and sauce, and they shuffle themselves to the “tastiest” spell. A talking spoon bookmark lives inside, muttering things like, “Too bland!” or “You call that stirring?”
Opening it might puff out flour or sneeze nutmeg. It hates microwaves and may bite if insulted. Legend says Klecksius, a dramatic kitchen wizard, accidentally baked his soul into the book. Now, it just wants to cook spells, cause chaos, and sass everyone in the kitchen. (actually he posesses the all mighty necronomnomnom, but don't tell him!)

Quest: Odysseus (perhaps aptly named) is on a quest to find his home and return to his true love. he was taken from the wild rather illegally, and his captors made several ill-fated attempts to tame him over the course of a year before he finally managed to escape. however, he was taken far from his home, and now must brave unfamiliar wildernesses to make his way back to the love of his life.
Item: although Ody has no love of humans, he is bringing a handmade necklace a young child made for him. the little human reminded him, in the darkest days of his capture, that there was good in the world, that creatures were capable of love and even change, and that he had a mare out there to fight his way back to. he will forever be grateful to the human child for showing him that, and he keeps the necklace as a reminder of this.

Quest: Absolute control over seasons, ever heard about it? Alot of creatures dreamt about it, but Gathr knows only one painter who can actually make seasons to obey his commands.
Wait, a painter?
Ah. Let me explain!
He is a painter indeed. Or, he was at least. I'll get to it really soon, stay with me. He who has no name known uses his inspired heart to put all sorts of emotions on his canvas and this way commands season to follow his wishes. How does he do it? What kind of magic is it? When asked, he always smirks and mumbles something under his nose. One can hear somerthing about ancient... blessing... muse... No deatils though. Gathr suspects it has to do with one of the Muses, goddesses of the various arts, but who knows.
Truth is that indeed, seasons obey him. Villagers quickly realized that without him, theres little to nothing they can do to ensure survival to themselves and treat him with the greatest respects.
For more than a year though, they have been struck with a severe winter. Snow, blizzards, everlasting cold. It's impossible to grow even the most basic herbs, not to mention securing the food source to be enough to feed everyone.
You see, there is something wrong with the Painter. Gathr could see it for a very long time now. He seems absent, his gaze empty, walking slowly without making a single sound, like a ghost. During their journeys, Gathr and his small team already learnt that the Muse who was inspiring the Painter and sharing her powerful flame of creativity and magic with him has sealed the power away, using a powerful enchantment.
"He lost himself. He lost the joy of living, of creating. His heart got sealed shut and his mind closed for the beauty thats around. There is no inspiration coming from living in sorrow and grief", she said.
Now Gathr and his team embark on a hopefully last quest - to retrieve the Bottled Flame. An ancient artifact that is said to contain the power of the Sun and to be able to ignite even the coldest of hearts and spark them with creativity and inspiration.
The winter has to end, at last.
