fable name: Chappell
dream:

Chappell woke up one evening in a cold sweat , body and sheets drenched. She couldn't believe the dream she'd just had... and she wished so desperately that she could go back:

*~ Chappell rode upon her large pink mare , the sun glistening thru the dense clouds upon their fur. Clad in silver armor she made her way thru an almost endless amass of pink tulips , her auburn hair standing out like a ladybug amongst their petals.
She was on a mission , banner in hand , to return to a Kingdom long forgotten by most; Casterveil , to present the Queen with a gift from her travels to prove herself worthy of being a knight. While confident the Queen would enjoy the prize , Chappell couldn't help but feel butterflies in her stomach leading into her chest - what if it wasn't enough to please her highness? No. She shook her head softly , sweat dripping from her brow , a small smile taking place on her lips , it'd be enough.
Glancing up she found herself eye to eye with a small rose-golden dragon fluttering close to her face. Startled she beckoned her mare to stop but the dragon eased her "fear not miss Chappell! I'm but a messenger for the Queen". He placed a small claw on her hoof. "She sent me here to guide you quickly thru the meadows as she's sensed your presence and wishes to see you soon".

A bit perplexed Chappell took the dragon's claw , gently guiding him to her shoulder for him to perch. "Thank you ser,," she began "but out of curiosity , how will you guide us to her Grace quickly?"
The dragon gave a small laugh - "with a little pixie dust!" And with a fierce gesture of his hands the world around them felt concealed by glitter. The brief moment was incredibly surreal for Chappel; she felt as though in that instance she and her mare shared the same thoughts - despite the barriers of language they could understand eachother - and in that moment they were both thinking about keeping eachother safe. Locking eyes with one another they both smiled in understanding. Yet despite the bond feeling like a millenia , it was over within an instant - but that didn't stop Chappel from respecting her mare so much more.

Looking around it was almost breathtaking to see that the scenery had changed and was now one of a castle garden , the walls to the throneroom being no more than 100 feet away. The garden itself was filled with roses , two incredibly large ones guarding the window to the throne. They were identical in appearance say for their colors ; one being white the other brown. Their large petals furrowed like lips in the center with pointed thorns for teeth. Upon seeing them Chappell gasped "you're both gorgeous!" Her hooves cheerfully to her cheeks. She'd always loved roses and couldn't contain her excitement as she'd never seen one so close in person let alone two so big.
"The Queen is looking for you!" The white rose chirped. "You yourself are quite lovely ," the brown rose added "same to your lovely mare... Eidim - not so much" and they both burst into laughter. 'Eidim?' Chappell thought to herself but it quickly became clear to her who that name belonged to. Turning her head towards the dragon she smiled , one hand on her satchel. "Well , Eidim - may we enter so I can give the Queen her gift?"

Eidim gave a quiet snicker before giving a nod "of course!" He flew off Chappel's shoulder and to the window where he grabbed the window pane and stretched it open like a doorway , pushing the glass aside he gestured for her to enter. Each rose did the same.
At this moment the flutter of butterflies filled Chappel's chest once again as she unmounted her mare. She couldn't believe that just inside was the Queen herself...
Turning toward her mare she gave her a gentle pet on the nose. "Wait outside for me , lady... I shall return soon - the next you see me I shall've been knighted". The mare pressed her head closely to the Fables in a gesture of kindness and Chappell hugged her tightly before turning her gaze back to the doorway.

Taking a step inside she was greeted by the Queen ; a beautiful giant of a woman. A large pink bear with a rose-golden horn that spiraled into white at the tip. Her essence was surrounded in golden glitter and she radiated a soft light. A smile grew on her lips once she saw Chappell walk inside.
"My blessed knight". She remarked as she outstretched her arms happily. "Come closer my dear , show me what you've brought".
The butterflies filled Chappel's mouth as she opened her satchel , it was a struggle to keep her hands from shaking with excitement. "You're too kind your Grace!" She began as she looked down into her bag "- but I'm yet to be a knight til I show you this". Once her eyes locked place with the item in her bag , it filled with a blinding light , one that overtook the room before her. The Queen called out to her but she could feel her soul slipping - and that's when she awoke in bed , sweating and staring at her apartment ceiling.

fable name: Tauriel
dream: Waves crashed softly against the shore as Tauriel gazed out onto the water. Sea birds called out for their mates as a salty breeze passed through, ruffling her hair. Everything seemed to be peace, it should've been perfect in all honesty. The setting sun was even lending some of it warmth so that the air was comfortable. And yet, still it felt as if she was missing something. There was an unsettling emptiness deep inside her that she couldn't ignore. Nickering, she unfolded herself from her the sand and turned her back to the sun.

Each step that she took away from the ocean was punctuated by a bird's sharp call. It beckoned her to come back. Each time getting louder until she stepped into the tree line. Then there was silence. So sudden it was disorientating and she spun in a sharp circle. Nothing but trees surrounded her now. It was like seeing a childhood home. A safe and familiar place, but at the same time too small. You've outgrown this place, you've seen so much of the world. Distinctly changed, different from the person you once were.

She continued on, a path carving itself from the ground beneath her hooves. Voices she knew called for her.

"Tauriel! Tauriel, I bid you to come look at this flower. It has finally begun to bloom."

The well worn path led her to a clearing. Another fable, one she knew, one she was fond of, stood waiting for her.

"Isn't it beautiful, sit for a while with me." The fable said. When she didn't move, he turned to her.

"Are you alright?" He asked her, a worried look in his eyes.

She smiled ruefully, how odd. She did not know what was wrong with her. Still the emptiness persisted in a place which was supposed to have helped her. The woods could only hold her for so long. Leaning forward, careful of her horns sharp point. She rested her forehead against his in farewell. "I have to go. I have to find what is plaguing my soul so heavily."

Between one step and the next, the soft crunch of leaves was replaced with the click clacking of her hooves on stone floor. This should've alarmed her, but it was comforting instead. Like a heartbeat that her feet knew the rhythm of. Determination filled her. The tunnel stretched on and on, for minutes, hours, days. Time ceased to exist as she kept plodding along. Finally when she felt she could walk no more, an opening appeared out of the darkness. She steeled herself and in she went.

The room was so dark that details were lost and everything was washed in gray. In the center of the room was a pile of pillows, a body lying within. She couldn't make out their face, but that was alright. She knew this fable. Quietly so as to not disturb his rest, she slunk forward and settled herself around him. She nuzzled his mane fondly, breathing in the scent that filled that emptiness as if it was never there.

A whisper so soft, it was meant for one ear only. "I'm back, did you miss me?"

When she awoke, the sea birds song and waves greeted her.

fable name: Strawberry
dream: Strawberry was always a summer child - she loved the sunny days and warmth and all the blooming growth, but in her dream, she saw autumn. It was a late, chilly month, and the leaves were all painted in fire and gold. She walked through the cold forest, remembering the warmth of the sun and longing for the smell of meadow flowers. Suddenly, violent gust of wind have torn all the leaves from the branches, and blown them down to the ground, more, and more, until it was a flood of leaves! She ran for her life, but everywhere she turned, leaves kept coming up, like rising tide. She was scared, and kept trying to get away, her heart racing and her feet barely moving from fear. Finally, she was left standing on the last high hill in the area, with a sea of leaves rustling all around her. There was nowhere left to run anymore, so she turned and walked back into the leaves - and suddenly, started to swim in them, as if they were water. The leaves were warm and soft and felt nice against her fur, and she wasnt cold anymore. Acorns and pinecones jumped in the leafy waves as if they were tiny fish. She was in a sea of autumn harmony - there was nothing to be afraid of. She swam, and swam, further and further away from the trees, into the sunset... She woke up to find herself with two favorite seasons now.

fable name: Roxanne
dream: The clouds were fluffy and sweet like cotton candy. Roxanne hopped back and forth occasionally sinking her head into the sugary goodness. Suddenly strong wind swept the cloud away and Roxanne found herself falling into the void. She was falling, falling...she would not stop falling! Then a huge eagle appeared before her and caught her with its talons. It carried her to its nest while Roxanne looked around curiously. It left her there and took flight again. She stood on the top of a very high mountain, the clouds were far below her. She thought she might jump, she would start falling again. She was about to do so when behind her she heard a chirping. It was a chickadee! A huge chickadee! It was looking at her and seemed to be...hungry? Roxanne looked at it.
“... Hello?” she said. “I'm Roxanne, you can call me Roxy. You?”
Squaaaak
Roxanne turned and jumped into the void.
Squaaaaaak squaaaaaak
And she fell again and fell and fell....
Roxanne woke up drenched in sweat and.... With a strong desire for cotton candy?

fable name: Kleio
dream: Kleio dreams of flying through a sunset sky, pinks and oranges dancing off her strawberry coat as she glides effortlessly and gracefully through soft clouds, weaving through the lingering sunbeams as if dancing with the early evening stars that twinkle above her head. She may not have wings to soar through the clouds when awake, but in this dream flying comes as naturally to her as breathing and everything feels weightless and easy. She is at peace.
can’t catch a break lol. If I’m online, please be patient with me but also don’t be afraid to give me a nudge.

fable name: Oevwyn
dream:

There are one hundred paths before her, endlessly stretching into the distance. Some are made of rock and gems and carve deep into the earth. Some are cotton candy clouds that float away into the sky. One is a river filled with sparkling pebbles and fish the color of the sunrise. Another is made of rainbow hues and stars and it goes

up and

up and

up into space.

Of course she chooses the rainbow path into the stars. She runs higher and higher, faster and faster, until the constellations are streaks of color around her.

There is one star she needs to catch and it is always two steps ahead. It twinkles and sparkles like diamonds.

The rainbow path becomes a winding, prismatic water slide that curves downward into a bright, blue, tropical ocean. She lands in the waves, following the star as it becomes a glowing, sparkling jellyfish. There are mermaids with octopus hair, fish with briefcases, sharks wearing glasses and ties swimming all around her. A giant leviathan changes colors and plays rave music from its antenna deep below the waters.

Still, she must follow the starry jellyfish. They float down deep into the ocean, passes pods of giant, opalescent whales, and an octopus with 16 arms.

The deep ocean grows darker and darker, until it changes into a dim hallway leading into an endless library.

The jellyfish becomes a sparkling book, with glowing stars on the cover and golden pages. The book flies away and she follows.

She runs after it, down countless rows of endlessly tall shelves, filling with magical, living, books. One glows like lava, another opens as she runs past and she sees a magical forest between the pages. A unicorn peeks from between the trees, then the book closes and it is gone.

The flying star book zips and spins through the air, up and up

And up

A winding staircase made of flowers.

She grabs the book just as they reach the top.

And wakes up.
