meaning/reason: thalatha means three in arabic which is fitting since thalatha has three heads !
costume: thalatha would definitely wear a cerberus costume since they are a huge fan of greek mythology and have three heads just like a cerberus !

[Stray Stranger]

kyon name: Alsephina AKA Delta Velorum
meaning/reason: It's the name of a triple star system, each head represents a star. This star system has been called Alsephina in the past before it was officially named Delta Velorum as it is a part of the Vela constellation, Vela is the latin word for sail (for a boat).
costume: Each head would wear a different costume. Because of this their body would be covered by a cloak so as to not give any single costume priority. One of them wouldn't want to wear a costume but would instead wear the hood of the cloak over their head. The edges of the cloak are decorated in gold as the goal isn't to hide, but to merely forgo wearing a costume.

The second head would wear a masquerade mask that is half white, half black and decorated in gold like the cloak.

And the third would wear a black crown with gold decorations or yellow gems similar to the ones on their body, they would wear a gold wrap around their neck as a cape and perhaps a sword shaped pendant to represent a weapon carried by a royal leading their troops into battle.

[Extra: I couldn't find images of the exact type of crown described so I included what I could find that was closest to what I had in mind, though come to think of it black gems on a standard gold crown look pretty cool too.

I also couldn't decide if I should go with Delta Velorum/Alsephina or another triple star system called Alnitak for the name but I think Alsephina is easier to pronounce so I'm going with that one.

meaning/reason: This Kyon is fascinated by the Wizard of Oz, and renamed herself after the main character! It's been so long, she can't remember her original name - not that she cares anymore!
costume: She may be Dorothy, but she likes to have her faithful travelling companions! 1 head would be dressed as The Scarecrow, 1 head as the Lion, and the final as the Tin Man. It might be simple, but Dorothy loves it all the same!

costume: his namesake, of course! (front / back) tailoring an outfit for a kyon might be a lot of work, but he thinks that it's also functional for after halloween, and therefore it's totally worth it!

meaning/reason: Trelysvevd is a Norwegion word meaning "Three light woven." (It also means "Tree light woven" and "Wooden light woven.") I chose this name because, first, this kyon has three heads. Second, because they have glowing gems floating at their horns and tail, lighting up their dark coloring, and third, "woven" because of their markings that look like inky thread woven through the tapestry of their coat.
costume: They would collectively wear a yellow and black dragon costume, covering up all the gray on their body. They have movable wings with LED lights patterned in stripes, casting a golden glow on Halloween night.

meaning/reason: it's a song sung for the dead
costume: hotdog costume, like the ones they put on dachshunds. the left head is wearing a cheap red wig (ketchup), the middle is wearing the hotdog part of the costume, and the right head is wearing a cheap yellow wig (mustard). they're the life of the party.

meaning/reason: riven - english name from norse meaning “to split”, fendi - italian name meaning “to split”, shimmi - choctaw name meaning “to split”
costume: riven is not big on holidays or festivities and would take a meager appeal to these shenanigans, donning a set of black cat ears that are hardly noticeable.
fendi would be the most exuberant of the three, dressing as cleopatra and obsessing over his makeup. he pulled rank on this holiday and was able to wear a lovely replica gown to the period. (riven is not a fan)
shimmi chose that of a raven, a custom neck-sleeve with kindly obtained feathers from his raven friends. one even tagging along to sit atop his head.

meaning/reason: Together, Ob, Sid, and Ian come together as “Obsidian”, the igneous rock that forms when molten lava rapidly cools. It’s a rich black in color and is said to hold the power to protect, provide clarity and heal in various ways both emotionally and spiritually. Its origins are fiery and depend on crystal growth (fewer crystals yield higher chances of volcanic glass formation).
costume: Obsidian took their costume to the next level, embracing their name and its various mystical effects by dressing up as three fortunetellers, the past, the present, and the future. Ob, a representation of the past, fashions a spinning dial that puts every moment behind it, where it belongs. Sid is representing the present, and wears a collar adorned with a gentle bell, its jingle a sound only heard in its present moment. And Ian, dressed as the future teller, sports a compass to help navigate the uncertainty that is the impending journey ahead.
