prompt: Softshade is inspired by the clouds drifting gently across the sky as she toils away at the Clan's small herb garden. Softshade wants to someday provide a respite like that to every cat they meet and support them the best they can. She wants to be the water-soaked mossball brought to an elder who can't move freely. She wants to be the birdsong that awakens them in the morning and they want to be the sound of the rushing river slowly pushing cats to sleep. Softshade is admittedly still a little too young to have fully settled into their role, as is custom in FloodClan, but she's certain that she wants to follow this path. She's inspired by the fireflies at dusk and the crickets at night, but most of all, they're inspired by the life all around them. The bustle of cats that she wants to be a part of, the murmur of the wind that ruffles her and her Clanmates' fur, the darting fish that easily escape from a new apprentice. Softshade wants to be present and mindful for as long as she can, and they'll always put their paws on the path that leads to a living world.

Asphodel finds inspiration and beauty in the mundane. The way the breeze blows through the towering metallic structures high above the clans’ primary territory. Its subtle brush against the tall grasses as she gazes skyward in the sun’s harsh rays. Melodic winds that run like a hidden river along the purple rising-moon skyline. She wishes nothing but the tranquil sigh for her clan, knowing they are safe and content within their hidden-grove home.

The trees surrounding the camp feel as if they are a welcoming embrace as the roots claw and crack their way through ancient human rubble. Nature taking back what once was, bringing it into the future of what can only be met with an encumbrance of slow overgrowth over moons. She revels in the way their safe haven feels as if it is untouchable. Completely encompassed by the stars, sky, sun, and moons. Unequivocally theirs and only theirs. Even upon the depths of the Deep Abyss, and all that comes from it’s gaping maw within the ground, this home is one she can only find solace in while sauntering through the undergrowth, shining ancient human trees in the distance as they flicker in the light of the Dual Moons. Asphodel can only feel as though the stunning quality of the world was given to them by the Dual Moons as a gift from the Ones Who Once Were. It pushes her to take in the little things in her fleeting life, whatever it is that brings her a temporary bout of joy and inspiration to keep on going in this unforgiving land.

As a medicine cat, many things inspire Moonlily. However, a few things stand out when asked this question. Growing up, Moonlily has always been drawn to nature and its natural healing abilities. Even without using herbs, nature offers a calming and fresh environment to help the body heal without additives. The calmness and serenity of nature are why Moonlily often spends his days in the soft breeze rather than cooped up inside the medicine cave like his predecessors. This being said, Moonlily biggest inspiration of all is his great-grandmother, the medicine cat before him. As a young kit, Moonlily always admired her, the work she did, and her bravery to not only heal the clanmates but to charge into battle right alongside them without formal warrior training to protect those who who hurt and needed her help. Originally, Moonlily was a warrior apprentice, thanks to his father's insistence to follow in his side of the family's long line of warriors. However, the day he watched his grandmother defend a fallen warrior during a border skirmish was the day he took his destiny into his paws and demanded their clan leader allow him to follow the path of medicine. His biggest inspiration will forever and always be his grandmother even long after she passes. [/center]
