the nostalgia makes me so so happy, and it's what's drawn me towards the species on CS in particular. i wasn't on the internet when they were really booming (2011-2017) but being able to be part of the more modern closed species communities still gives me that sense of nostalgia for something i've never experienced haha. having an established world/lore to build these characters in is also really fun, and some of the closed species designs i've seen have been incredibly creative! :)
