For a long time Shivermist just didn't cope with stress. He simply bottled everything up and tried his level best to ignore it. That particular tactic didn't work particularly well, of course, but it kept him functional in a natal clan that prized productivity above mental health. Since arriving in the Wake, Shivermist has broadened his horizons significantly. Low-level anxiety still gets channeled into productivity, albeit with a new and decidedly healthier twist. Rather than burying his emotions behind busywork, chores are now an excuse to actually connect with his own thoughts. By the time he's finished clearing brush or gathering herbs, he usually has a better grasp on what's actually bothering him, as well as how to deal with it.

When he's well and truly overwhelmed, though? Nothing soothes the soul quite as well as a good sparring session. There's no room for overthinking when someone's actively trying to put his face in the dirt!
