Petal doesn't mind being a munchkin, but she used to, for 2 good years, she hated it.

"Go on petal, its ok, they'll let you go play with them" Petal's mom said nudging her out into the bright and sunny clearing that the kits played in. " no they won't, they never do! As soon as the adults look away they act like I'm not real!" Petal protested " now come on, stop making up stories " Petals mom said more firmly, like a command, Petal knew if she kept protesting she would get in trouble so she walked out into the clearing, her Pinkish coat shimmering in the sun. Almost as soon as she walked out the kits walked towards her, acting like that they just wanted to stay their, but really they were getting out of the earshot of the adults so they could sneer about her short legs so Petal could still hear them. "She looks like she is one moon old" "she'll never keep up in tag" " she looks so..weird" "she's so short" they said each one shooting a glace at her to make sure she didn't move out of earshot. She took a deep breath and trotted over to them " hey.. Uhh could I play with you guys! " she said, hoping their answer was different then last time ... And the time before that.. And then before that. Each kit took a swift glance to see if the adults were watching, and then at her, and lastly at each other. And then, trotted away, as though she didn't exist "soooo is that a yes?" She asked trying to keep up with them, but as soon as she even started walking, or talking they started running at full pace, knowing her short legs couldn't to keep up. So sadly she snuck into the bushes where her nest she took and put in the roots of a tree, for whenever this happened. Once she found her nest she shook her very fluffy fur out so she didn't have lots of twigs and leaves.
