Sindri's family has long followed The Stars, dreaming of the day their powers grow so great that they could swallow Them. For now, they content themselves with smaller destructions, setting ablaze everything in their path as they seek to snuff out The Stars' light from the skies in any form they can. Despite their worship of The Pitch - She who will one day swallow all - her family does worship The Stars. They are, after all, marked by The Stars Themselves.

However, during one excursion years ago, Sindri's heart was pierced by a goddess, and not one they follow. As the coastal village burned dark, who would watch on but the harbinger of life Herself - The Sea. None seemed to notice Her, but Sindri. As the sounds of life petered out upon the shore, only the song of The Sea remained, captivating and eerie.

Sindri found herself bewitched since, quietly building a new altar - grander than any other. The Sea calls to her, and Sindri's longing grows day by day. By night, The Sea reflects The Stars upon Her, so surely by worshipping The Sea, Sindri worships The Stars more truly than she ever did before.

It's only a matter of time before her family stumbles upon her secret, the close calls have grown more perilous as time passes. Sindri should leave, her family won't spare her any mercy for this - it was bad enough that she refused to worship The Pitch and previously only built an altar to The Stars.
