- the silk scarf was given to little’pigeon by her grandmother, silver feather, who cared for her alone after her parents passed. it’s an older thing, originally owned by her great-grandmother actually, but silver feather never got around to passing it on to little’pigeon’s mother- in fact, silver feather was almost never seen without the thing unless she was washing it. little’pigeon received it as a farewell gift before setting off to find and join the alliance she had heard stories of. it is still in pristine condition, lovingly cared for and cleaned for years before little’pigeon received it, and she is fully willing to dedicate just as much time as her grandmother did to keeping it this way.
- the pigeon feather on the necklace is from little’pigeon’s first ever successful hunt when she was little- a pigeon, leading to her grandmother nicknaming her little pigeon. silver feather kept quite a few of the feathers and some bones from the hunt, actually. silver feather wears many feathers in her fur proudly, all with significant meaning to her, and little’pigeon does the same with the one feather she has with meaning to her out of respect and nostalgia.
- the blue crystal is another gift, but this time left with her by her mother before she died. little’pigeon believes firmly that this is where she gets her cold-related powers from- however, this is almost unheard of in her world. you are born with powers at birth or you are unable to use any, and magical objects are supposedly unable to give you powers. despite this truth of the universe, little’pigeon insists that she is unable to do any magic when she isn’t wearing or near the crystal. she suspects it has to do with her mother’s spirit.
- finally, the leg wrappings are for some protection. being that her powers are unnatural and aren’t exactly hers, she is unable to fully get a grip on them. this causes quite a few injuries, most of which are inflicted upon her lower front legs since her magic gathers around and in her paws most often.

Her paws scatter upon the ground, uprooting her origins
Her fear is palpable, like prey on the tongue
She runs from the darkness that had taken her friends

Her home is a wasteland, their only memory clinging to her fur
Structures once built are now collapsed on the ground
Snarls and roars follow her every move
Just like it had done to those who are not around

Around her neck is a scarf, made lovingly by paw with beautiful silk the color of ice
Her eyes reflect onto the threads for a moment as she runs, her breaths wheezing
The memory of him gifting it to her flickers in her mind, and the tears are running
Whispers of love and memories of lying with him are fleeting

Flowers fall with every twist and turn she makes, the color of the bluest sea
He said they matched her eyes, affection turned into wearing them always
No matter the species, blue was always accenting her fur
The color bled into her appearance, cats associating them to her for the rest of her days

Gold and crystals dot her ears, the clatter of stones complimenting the sound stones make as she leaps
Once paws of a jeweler, chains and carved crystals made lovingly by paw, sail over the ravine
She collapses on the other side, breath caught in her chest as she looks back
What was there is no more, the beat of darkness and snarling shadow is not seen

She awakes to a glowing Nursery, peacefully rousing from the nightmare
Lifting a paw, she gazes at all the things she keeps from her past
They represent her, he appearance, holding each and every precious memory that once belonged to others
Even though she feels it is futile... she hopes this will last.

The most sentimental item Stoat owns is the wolf tooth given to her by her big brother Wolf. She wears it strung around her neck as a reminder that he is always with her, no matter the circumstance. Wolf and Stoat have a close sibling bond, but after slaying the mighty beast, Wolf was chosen to fight for the Cattiopeia knights and had to remain in the castle for the rest of his career. Although retired and now happily free, Wolf travels the kingdom as he cannot bear to stay put in one place like his sister. Occasionally he does visit, and when he does, the village makes a great scene of it.
Stoat is the village's herbalist and resident plant mum (TM). The pouch attached to her hip is never not overflowing with a variety of flora that she collects on her frequent trips to the forest. Stoat does a lot of thorough searching for these plants, which is why she can be seen with leaves and sticks poking out from many angles in her fur. Today she found a vine which she thought would make a cute choker to accompany her wolf tooth necklace.
Lastly, Stoat can be seen with none other than her trusty fly swat! The forest can be a dangerous place, but she is often way more annoyed at the constant buzzing of flies. The swat has its own dedicated scabbard for easy access in desperate times.
