As a cat with cerebellar hypoplasia, Rockhopper struggles with balance in general, especially with his condition spiking in intensity as he grew. They struggle to take steps and keep balance, their head uncontrollably rocking side to side as well as their limbs twitching, it's hard to find purchase on even smooth, stable ground. It doesn't bring her down, though! This cat is filled with confidence, showing the kits that he watches over that it's okay to be different, and not just in looks. They even enjoy making the kits laugh as they try to walk, exaggerating their slip-ups and pretending to be a great, evil leader having been downed by mere kits!

Speckledkit's perspective! <3

Her eyes squeeze shut as she hears the trashing, followed by the soft whimpers. She gently pushes the bundle of small white flowers towards the sleeping patient, in a desperate attempt to help the cat to sleep in calm peaceful dreams… the complete opposite of what she was experiencing now, those terrible nightmares that seemed to last years.

She relaxes the tiniest bit, as the patient's whimpers die down into a quiet babble, hopefully it'd last… paws fiddling anxiously around the stray strand of a flower. Maybe she could–

'' Oh! There you are– wait what are you doing?'' a voice resounds from behind her, her head twists around to see wide blue eyes peering at her. Beankit… always creeping up on her, she managed a strained smile.

'' A patient, that's all.'' she frowns as Beankit comes over, he glances at the sleeping molly, tilting his head.

''What's wrong with her?'' Beankit cautiously pokes the patient with a paw, ''She doesn't look very… hurt.'' He glances back at her, eyes still carrying the soft lantern of light.

''She… has… not the best dreams.'' she smiles a little, '' She should be fine though,'' At least I hope so…

Beankit blinks, nodding as if he knew what it meant, '' Oh, by the way, Ivydrift's been calling you forever! She sounds quite enraged.'' Beankit waddles over to her whispering quietly, '' I think you should go… I came as soon as I heard! ''

She paused at his words, '' Alright,'' she hesitated, ''Can you watch her then? Don't startle her though.'' She looked at him, trying to not betray her desperation.

He grins, gently pushing her out of the room, ''Okay! I won't!''

''I chose to suffer above the ground...'' She flinched at her words, words that she never meant, but she managed to hold her head high, casting her gaze over the crowd, searching for that pair of warm brown eyes belonging to the cat who wanted this for her… it was better…right?

The cats stared at her, their words like poison seeping out from their lips,

''How crazy could this cat get? Escaping from the tunnel that can kill us?''
'' Another stupid child, I knew it from the start.''
'' How many till they realize…''

And chaos stuck…the cats herded her away, without letting her say her farewells, they pushed and shoved her against the walls she couldn't see. ''Stop! please just let me…'' her voice fades into a call, '' Mom?'' she searched for the lovely pair of warm brown eyes, '' Mom! Where are you?''
