colony in sig <3
--
this storkie's colony was strongly cultivated around a religion based in the spirituality of flowers and their emotional connections. the colony took great pride in passing down the technique of the cultivation of flora through the generations. an old tradition that some young storkies will choose to pursue is the spring flower dance. as a society based around the importance of flowers, every storkatten in the colony has a favourite flower. young pining storkies will take great pride in secretly growing their cat of adoration's favourite flower, encouraging it with perfectly measured distribution of water and fertilizer.
then, on the first sunny day of spring, the colony will gather for the flower dance. established mates will pair up, but there will be a short period where unpartnered cats within the colony may find a partner to enjoy the dance with, and hopefully spark a platonic or romantic attraction. this is when the young pining storkie will offer to their crush their favourite flower as an invitation to be their dance partner. the tradition is known to have overwhelmingly positive results, and planted the roots - heh - of many strong, loving, healthy relationships.
