how does he feel about his brother not being blind?:
To begin with Eviør and his brother did not originally have a good relationship. Growing up together was not fun for either of them, well, so Eviør thinks. He can not say for his brother, but there was a mutual understanding that there was a lack of love between them.
In Eviør's opinion it started with the fact that he is the blind one, therefore his parents put to much effort into making him as comfortable as possible. This sparked jealousy in his brother even though it was not Eviør's fault he was born this way. Though as children you don't think deeply like that. Eivør's sibling would pick on him by tripping him, making loud noises and just being extremely obnoxious all the time. Because his brother acted this way, and the more he did it the more Eivør began to reset his brother. It wasn't jealousy but anger and frustration.
In Eviør's mind he believed his brother treated him this way because he was blind. It did not make sense to him, why be cruel when you can SEE!? Eivør slowly started coming up with ways to get back at his brother. This unleashed a 'war' between the two brother. Always fighting, always trying to get the upper hand or just one up each other. It was hard for them to be in the same room without their being some form of backlash... however, one day changed all of that.
Eivør was walking to his favorite coffee shop. It was a normal day, same routine day for him. It was never uncommon for Eivør to travel on his own as his other sense were much stronger and of course his probing cane is a big help. He doesn't like to rely on anyone. He always hated that his parents thought he was weak and frail. They always told him that he needed to have someone with him at all times, even forced their brother to take him with or to help him in someway. Of course, that never ended well. Now, he has been completely independent and even works as a personal trainer for athlete's and volunteers to help others who are blind become more independent.
Though, on this day, he was lucky to not be alone. Walking to his coffee shop Eivør waiting at the crossing like, once the light started beeping repeatedly he knew it was 'safe' to walk. Eivør was halfway through the road when a horn blared at him and the sound of screeching tires filled his ears. A women screamed and just before the large truck hit him he felt a large mass shove him to the curb. In the accident Eivør hit his head and fell unconscious, he woke up about 2 and a half days later, his head pound like a drum in his ears.
As he woke he felt a hand clasp his causing him to jolt in surprise. The others grip was tight and he could feel something wet fall onto his hand. "E-Eivør..." His brother hicked "your awake??" His voice was raspy and thick almost as if he had been crying for sometime. "*Brothers name here*??.. what.. what happened?" Eivør questioned, confused. It turns out, that day Eivør left for coffee his brother had an off feel. It was strange but he had this urge to follow Eivør. Though, he wanted to blow off the feeling he ended up going along with it. He was the one who save Eivør and even almost lost his own life in the process. Though, Eivør was not hit but the truck hit his brother. The impact was enough to send him across the road. Eivør has never been more touched by his brothers actions. They have never talked so long without fighting before, but there in the hospital they talked about it all. Their passed how their hated for one another was just their own negative and selfish thoughts.
Eivør and his brother had been in the wrong for so long. Both of them assuming things that involved the others sight when their feelings had nothing to do about it. So, honestly, Eivør never really cared that his brother could see and he couldn't. Back then, what he really wanted was his brother to be his friend, after years of fights and arguments now they have each other.
