Pokemon name: Love
Pokemon pronouns: he
Prompt: According to the pokemon anime, there is an island where pokemon eat pink fruits every day, except that these fruits have a side effect that gives them a pink color. Eating it once in a while makes the effect temporary, but eating too much makes the effect permanent. Love would be from this mysterious island, and by dint of eating fruit, would have obtained the pink color, which is also its shiny color. He was a little disappointed, because the pink brings a unique color to the pokemon on the island, but on the Furrets, it just serves to make them look like shiny, without the stylish star stars coming out of the pokeball. So he started wanting to leave the island and go on a trip, but the outside world being too dangerous for him alone, he first looked for a trainer he felt good with. He needed a trainer who really liked him, and wasn't just interested in a particular colored pokemon, for a " stupid trainer collection " ( from the words / thoughts of Love ) Love took a long time to find the perfect trainer. Indeed, this mysterious island, although secret, still attracts trainers particularly eager and eager to earn money with the pink pokemon of the island, something that Love could not bear. But once he had found his perfect trainer, that's how Love's journey has started !

Pokemon name: Heart
Pokemon pronouns: She/Her
Prompt:

Heart's earlier days were very much different than they were now, although she remembered them clearly. From the moment she was taken out of her egg, she found herself in a laboratory setting. Everyone around her had massive R's upon their attire in some location, be it their hats, sleeves, or chests. There was not a single other pokemon to be found... in fact the room was soundproofed to the outside world. It was in this setting she was only exposed to humans, and only those of what she knew later to be Team Rocket members and their children.

Yes, she was raised alongside human children, and given a human education. A grand experiment, to see just how far the boundaries between human and pokemon could be pushed. Heart, or as she was known then Ex, proved to be highly intelligent and understanding of everything around her. A creative side flourished, and when she realized she could not speak like a human she learned to draw and write instead. She had an excellent grasp on this, able to communicate almost flawlessly her thoughts, her ideas, her frustrations. She was as smart as any human kid, in some cases smarter! And she was able to tell them, to write out, that one day she wanted to ride the ranks and be the best Team Rocket Executive the organization had ever seen! Of cours,e she had no idea of what they really did. All she knew was what she had been shown.

Despite the lab being in a remote island off of Kanto, the day came that a group of heroic trainers raided the facility. Canso was terrified, and tried writing as franticaly as she could for them to stop destroying her home, her people, her life! In the end, she had to be knocked out for her own good, but found her way to one of the rescuer's team. Through time her new friend learned what had happened, and slowly revealed the truth to Canso. Canso realized she could not communicate with other pokemon, even her own type. She could not use moves either, at least not yet. Together Canso and her trainer strive to fix this, and allow Heart the best of both worlds.

Pokemon name: persephone ; "perse"
Pokemon pronouns: she/her
Prompt: [1,547 words]

When she had first entered this dungeon's cave system, Persephone had been fascinated and amused by the way it had echoed her own voice back to her. As she ventured in, dashing about and looking for treasure, she'd amused herself well, a call and response game with herself, bubbling with confidence.

Now, the same echoes were only reverberating with her own panicked breathing, reminding her of how very enclosed and alone she was.

"H-h-help!" she called, voice trembling, ears laying back when nothing returned but her own plaintive cry. All had been going well until she'd fallen into a crevice- deeper than she'd intended, and well out of the way of anyone who might be passing through. It had taken her a good deal of effort to track down this dungeon in the hopes of a reward- the chances of anyone happening by, or hearing her calls, were minimal at best.

She'd splashed down into what appeared to be an underground lake, lit faintly by some patches of bioluminescent algae on the far wall. After scrabbling about blindly in the water, Perse had found herself a small strip of rock to curl up on. It was there that she huddled, fur fluffed out and shivering, hoping vainly for rescue.

The pros of operating as a loner were not having to share one's cut with anyone. Perse had gotten along pretty fine until now, taking small bounties. She'd taken this task on a whim, overconfident in her skills and looking forward to a hefty payout. But, clearly, she had wound up in over her head, with no teammates to have her back or help her out.

Perse's mind whirled, and she began absently grooming her fur, shaking out and smoothing it in an attempt to calm herself while she tried to devise a plan to get out. She could try climbing up the wall where she'd fallen in- but glancing at the ceiling, it was too dark to see exactly where the crevice was- not to mention, the walls looked fairly wet and slick, if the bits illuminated by that strange algae were any indication. Maybe she'd give it a try, anyways, once she'd rested for a little bit. Right now she was exhausted and scared- in no shape for dangerous freeclimbing. Yeah- a short rest, maybe a snack, and then she'd give it a shot. Perse rummaged through her satchel- she'd lost most of her equipment to the depths of the lake, and wasn't about to go diving to get it back, but to her relief there were a few berries remaining in the bottom. She bit into them with relish, thankful for the sustenance. The berries tasted especially good, for some reason, and she closed her eyes in enjoyment. Her snack finished, she found that her body still felt heavy, and her eyes were drooping- and surely a short nap wouldn't hurt, she decided. Though stranded, this spot seemed decently safe- she could figure out what to do next when she awakened.

    - - - - -

It was the faint sound of movement overhead that awakened Perse- she sat bolt upright from where she'd curled herself into a ball, twitching her ears in an attempt to hear the sound. It had been faint, but certainly not imagined- a faint clattering, as though someone had kicked or tripped over a loose stone. A few moments of silence, and then Perse heard it again- and this time, faint voices alongside it, as though a few pokemon were having a hushed conversation. Other pokemon- she jolted upright, tapping her paws hopefully.

"Help!" she called, her voice no longer tentative, but loud as she could make it. If only they would hear her- this might be her chance to get out! "Help! I'm trapped down here!"

A short silence followed, and Perse swore she could hear her heartbeat pounding anxiously in her ears. Then the murmur of voices resumed, and grew louder, and then-

"Hello?" a voice called out- rough, but not unkind. "Is anyone there?" It was coming from somewhere overhead.

"Yes!" Perse said, equal parts a cheer to herself and an answer to the stranger. "I'm in a cave, down here- I fell through a crevice and am trapped. Is there any way you can help me out?"

"Keep talking," the voice responded. "We'll find you."

"Okay," Perse said, voice all but shaking with relief. She kept up a steady stream of random chatter- it was easy for her to ramble, in her nervous state- and finally, finally, saw the glow of a lantern illuminating a little crack in the ceiling of the cave- the very same that she'd fallen through. She felt nearly ready to cry with relief.

"That's it!" she called. "I'm down here!"

"Alright," the voice called. "We're coming down. Hold still."

As Perse watched, the lantern light flickered a bit, as if the pokemon were shifting about while holding it- and a small rope ladder descended from the crack in the cave ceiling, so long that its end dipped into the still water below. As Perse watched, a figure descended the ladder, holding a lantern and a small bundle in one arm. Instead of wading into the water themself, the pokemon dipped down to release the bundle into the water- another pokemon, it turned out, who swam quickly toward Perse's spur of rock. She nearly let out a yelp of fear when she saw the blue scales and pointed yellow fins of a carvanha, but the other pokemon raised his fins quickly in greeting, hoping to calm her down.

"Please don't freak out!" he said quickly, sounding a bit nervous himself. "We're here to help. My name's Snatch. Can you swim?"

    Perse nodded, tentatively.

"Great!" the stranger–Snatch– did an excited little flip in the water, resurfacing to look at her. "Follow me, I'll get you to the ladder, and my teammates and I will help you up. You can lean on me, too, if you're a bit tired."

"T-thanks," Perse stammered, forcing herself to get up and slide into the water, shivering in spite of herself at the cool stillness of it. But then a scaly surface bumped into her side- Snatch, giving her a nudge of encouragement. Despite the roughness of the gesture, it was kind, and Perse actually felt slightly comforted by it.

The swim across the dark water felt much shorter with someone else by her side, and before long they had reached the base of the ladder. Pausing to bob in the water, Perse saw that the tall figure who had descended turned out to be a lanky zoroark, who wordlessly scooped Snatch back up in one arm and beckoned to Perse with the other.

"Don't worry," Snatch called from his teammate's secure hold. "She doesn't talk too much, and might look a little bit scary, but–hey!–" he protested, laughing a little bit, as his teammate rolled her eyes and flicked one of his fins. "-she'll help you up. Marley's holding the ladder up above, making sure it's nice and sturdy. We're almost out."

Perse mustered up her nerve and gave a determined nod, reaching out to climb onto the ladder. It was an exhausting climb, and a few times her wet paws nearly caused her to slip, before being caught by her scruff in the silent zoroark's grasp. Finally, they made it up all the way, emerging into another lanternlit cave. This one was blessedly dry, and Perse collapsed onto the ground soon after climbing up, feeling suddenly weightless with exhaustion and relief.

    - - - - -

"Alright," Marley- who had turned out to be a rather shaggy but easygoing yamper- exclaimed, tail wagging as he turned about to face them. "We're out of the dungeon! Rescue complete!"

"Will you be okay on your own?" Perse jolted as she realized the deep voice was coming not from Snatch or Marley, but from their third team member, who had up until now been helpful but silent.

"I-" she began, fully intending to say something confident, about how she'd been in tighter scrapes than this one before, about how she's used to working alone. But the words died in her mouth as she remembered the crushing feeling of loneliness she'd felt in that cave, hoping vainly for rescue. It was mere coincidence that this odd little team had happened upon her, and been kind enough to help her. Suddenly, being 'okay on her own' didn't sound so appealing after all.

"I-I'd like to stay with you," she found herself saying instead. "May I? Join your team? Even if just for a little bit- I-I'm decent at reading maps, and treasure hunting, and I just... don't want to be alone, I don't think."

A short silence followed this- and Perse waited nervously, half certain that they would reject her- but then Marley's tail was wagging faster than ever, and Snatch was giving her a (only somewhat frightening) toothy grin, and even the towering zoroark cracked a faint smile, nodding at her.

"You'll be welcome, if that's what you want," Snatch said. "Did you ever tell us your name? That'd be a nice thing to know, if we're to be traveling together."

"P-Persephone. But you can call me Perse."

"Welcome to the team, Perse! It's good to have you with us."

Log Begin.

June 2nd, 2016.

Today was rather… fine. I’m currently residing within Natura Village, near the east of Wabalame Island in the Balusa Region. I’m staying here for a few days so I can observe the wild pokemon here for study. I’ve seen a few sights, the pidgey and starly playing together or fighting over pinap berries. I also saw a flock of ducklett and swanna sitting in a nearby pond. A little zorua walked over to me and allowed me to pet it! That made me a bit happy. I found some berries on my research site, I believe a pokemon left them there, they weren't there before.

.
.
June 3rd, 2016

I saw something rush past my tent, it looked pink in colouration. I think it’s the one leaving berries. It looked like a [redacted] but I'm not sure. It looked rather long as well, It might have been a serviper but I dont think they’re pink.

.
.
June 5th, 2016

I saw it. It looked at me, we looked at each other, Its eyes staring deep into mine, piercing my soul almost. It was a furret but... It was different, it wasn’t the usual brown, it was pink. It tilted its head at me and I jumped because I thought it was going to try to attack or battle me. I don’t have any pokemon of my own. I never really wanted to be a trainer, I just wanted to study pokemon in the wild. Though, I have the feeling that I need to find this furret and catch it for some reason.

.
.
June 7th, 2016

It was right there, I was so close to catching it. It looked like it was teasing me as I tried throwing the pokeball at it. It was dodging every throw with absolute precision. It looked like it was giggling. How rude!
(Honestly, at first I thought these balls has pokemon in them but they were all empty. Why’d they give me pokeballs?)

– I saw it again, I followed it while it wasnt looking, it has its own little den and such. It’s all alone, though. I feel bad.

.
.
June 11th, 2016

It walked up to me with a berry in its mouth. It dropped the berry in front of me and it looked a bit shy. As soon as it dropped the berry it rushed away a few feet. I looked at it and it stared at me for a few seconds before running into the brush. I think it’s starting to warm up to me and I’m starting to warm up to it as well. I think… Maybe we can become pals soon!

.
.
June 14th, 2016

It… Let me pet it? I can’t process this. It was so fluffy, its pink fur felt so soft as I brushed my hand across the fur. I had a berry in my pocket from foraging earlier and so I fed it the berry. It happily ate the berry. It fell asleep beside me, I sat there, thinking about what to do. I had a pokeball in my pocket, I could’ve just caught it right there but I didn’t. I don’t know why.

.
.
June 20th, 2016

I caught it. It allowed me to catch it. I woke up and it was right there in front of me. It stood there and looked at the ball near my foot. I had dropped it the night before because I couldn’t see in the dark. it looked at the ball and then me. I picked up the ball and it looked at me, eyes wide. It walked up to me and tapped its head on the ball and soon after was sucked into the ball. I dropped the ball out of surprise and there it was on the ground shaking. Shake… Shake… Shake… Ding! I caught it. I immediately fell to the ground to get the ball and let it out. There it was, looking happy to be my partner! Now… To think of a name for her! Oh man…
.
.
June 21st, 2016

I named her “Rosebes”, short for “Pink Cloud” in Latin. She’s so helpful around the research site. She’ll bring me berries from time to time. She has helped me with communicating with the wild pokemon better! I think we’re getting along well! Gosh… I can’t wait to get off of this darn Island, then I can take her to show her the cities and towns in Balusa! I’m so excited. Tomorrow is the day i’m taken back to my home and then after that, me and Rosebes will have an amazing dinner!

End Log.

Extras: I thought doing some short logs would be fun! Furret is my favorite pokemon so wheheh! This prompt answer Is 770 words! (May add more through the day)
